Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Here's the current 20" rear wheel. They apparently have made the hub much thicker so spacers aren't needed. The lug nuts disappear into the hole.

Big Block, I just ordered the same set up. What tires sizes did you go with and what brand of tire?

Thanks,

Re: Got some new wheels: Boss 338's in 20x10 and 20x8.5

Found matching Nexen Roadian tires in 295/45/20 rear 255/55/18 front. Side wall is same front and back but I kinda wish I'd gone 1 size narrower on front cuz it looks a little fatter on the rim that the rear. Not real noticeable though.

Ha.
Your truck is one of the best looking trucks, running these wheels!
(and the first to make them work with the HD rotors)

Maybe all members running these infamous Boss 338 wheels should add their truck picture here.
(Please include wheel size and tire size)

Technically it was first in this thread,... I don't know which rotors he had.
It took forever to figure out the 1" light duty rotors were a bolt on.

I still have the wheels,... but I sold the truck they were going on.
I may use them on my '86.

Re: Got some new wheels: Boss 338's in 20x10 and 20x8.5

Brandon's

Yes they are 338's, We have renamed them 666's!
Front 20 X 8.5 225-40-20
Rear 20 X 10 295-45-20

Machined front wheels and rotors.
Modified spindles and dust caps.
Rear has been narrowed 2.75" per side.

Wheels are chevy car pattern(better offsets).
No wheel spacers!

That is what it takes to make them fit.
BRANDON AND I THINK IT IS TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!

Re: Got some new wheels: Boss 338's in 20x10 and 20x8.5

Just got done doing this for the front, for the 3AA Rims.

I have to say, this was one of the most painless modifications to date.
I simple took a flap wheel, held it up against the rotor, and spun.

I need to go update my build thread now :P

Great info.
I have a buddy that just did the same thing.
He also had to slighty dent the dust cap,... other than that they will bolt right on the HD rotors.

I haven't tried sticking the dust caps on yet, maybe I should :P I don't imagine it will be too bad, since the Eagle adjustments were only for the dust boot

Z10 - You should pull a front wheel and try to bolt one up can see if the center cap clears.

Re: Got some new wheels: Boss 338's in 20x10 and 20x8.5

Ok, pulled a front wheel and attempted to fit the front 18x8 wheel. Not going to happen. So, I'll have to "Clearance" the brake hub. This wheel was made 6-29-12 so it's not been sitting on the shelf and was shipped direct from Boss. The rear's were made 7-19-12.

Here are a couple of pics. The second one shows the fitment issue.Name: photo.jpg
