Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"
Thanks. I'm leaning towards keeping it at the moment but I just don't know....
I would kinda like it to look stock. I think I'll try to find some 6 lug rallies. Quote:

If you do let me know. I have the headlight buckets for the 85-87 style. I'll send it your way! I'll look and see if I have anything else you may be able to use.

Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"
I like the moose buggy. I'd be tempted to put bed sides and a front clip on it if it were mine.

Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"
I agree, I'd jack it up and throw a front clip and bed on it. That would be a monster. What front axle do you have in it? I see a 14FF out back.

Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"
I agree also...
I have a hood, I was even thinking about a narrowing front and rear sheet metal. I'd also like to put some smaller (lighter) tires on it. Maybe some AGs, although I'd love some boggers. It has a big hub Dana 44, the guy I got it from was under the impression it was a Dana 60. I saw the ball joints and did some research. They made ball joint 60's but they were all drivers drop. Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"
I was thinking how scary it would be for the people sitting on the seat in the back. I've seen Joe drive, I would rather see what's coming than be turned around the other direction. Wait, or would I?

Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"
Just put some front sheetmetal on it and dove tail the front, then just back half the rear. Put some 35's on her.......that 44 won't last long with those XML's I don't think.

Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"
I agree.
I'm currently working a deal to swap the buggy and the K10 for a 6.2 diesel K5 with a 4" lift on 35's, a late 70's 4x4 Burb, a plow, a 6.5 turbo set up, a 91 V3500 crew minus drivetrain and front clip, and a bunch of other parts. The guy I'm trading is gonna run the XML's on a m1008 with rockwells, last I heard anyway, he has the square bug also so he might change his plans a few times... He has to do some stuff to the K5 and he works in the bush so it might take a few months. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"
Nice! That K5 sounds like a sweet rig.......I might be bias though...lol. I can't wait to get back at mine again and get things going. I have way to many damn projects on the go at once and only a double wide shop that fits one truck at a time. To bad you weren't closer, we could barter all day long I think. hahaaha.

Re: My Crew Cab Short Bed Project, AKA "Project Destiny"
Lol!
Yeah I can't wait to get my hands on it! I feel your pain, I have too many projects and a lack of a warm place to work in the winter. I hope that changes before next winter... I agree on the distance, I'd love to see some of your stuff up close... And boy do I like to barter!!! We are only @ 2600 miles apart Posted via Mobile Device
