It almost worked
I only get about 9 inches of lift up front and after about 6" the arm contacts the steering shaft. I am going to have to get one more u-joint. Anybody got a used 3/4" DD x 3/4" DD laying around??? |

got so adddicted after the first page I read the whole post all the way through in one sitting. heh took me 4 and a half hours :P I can't even imagine doing the hood and getting it right. much less the thousand other things you've done, insane. your hours of work and planning must be through the stratosphere. can't wait for updates on this thing. haven't felt this much suspense in ages thanks for all the info and pics = |

I ran a piece of 1" angle across the bottom to tie the sides back together and then welded in the filler panel

I don't mind because that isn't my pic. I had planned to do that on mine and came across that photo from somebody elses build. Now that I have my tank in place I don't think it is going to work because the tank is too high.

Big wheels and dragging the rockers is usually not my thing but I really like this truck. I really like the fact you brought the W/O down in the front. Its a small change that really makes a difference.
