Here's my K/30 work in progress I have always favored the 71-72 grills but after the last 3 68's I'm really liking the slant noses

Well. I couldn't find my previous posts, not sure that Ive included one since the build was finished.
Shes finished--but not done!!! This winter I will be eplacing the steering box, the pwr brake booster and MC and redesigning the alternator bracket (I don't like the straight up look plus the old location doesn't give me enough wrap of the belt. Oh, yeah---Ive also decided to replace those great looking bucket seats. A build never seems to end!!!!!

man what great trucks. I like seeing such a diverse list of examples. The green 68 shorty with tools boxes on the stepside bed interests me .
What was that truck used for? Mine was a mason / hardscape contractor.

The light green 68 shorty was originally a forestry truck in Asheville, NC. Originally darn green, it was painted light green by the original owner after he retired and the forestry department gave him the truck. Though the utility boxes were a dealer add-on and period correct for this truck, they were added much later in life. The truck actually left the dealership as a stepside. The truck is currently under the knife receiving a host of upgrades that will positively affect the look and drivability of the truck, but the boxes will stay and likely get a facelift.

Your truck is one of my favorites. You don't post it that much but when I do see it pop up on here or Instagram, I always stare at it for a few minutes. I didn't realize you were doing some upgrades to it. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it.
