Hey Bob some of these servo kits have a new longer Sonnax pin. Do I need that also or can I use the old pin? Thanks in advance. The links below which one do I need?

Re: Glock's new project: "Fred" w/ 5.3L LS swap info

Either one will work. I reused the stock pin. The longer pin will effectively tighten the band. Since it is longer, it will push farther in on the band to tighten up the clearance. Using the longer pin will probably firm the shifts up even more.

Re: Glock's new project: "Fred" w/ 5.3L LS swap info

I will definitely be taking pictures, we'll see if it's possible or not to get some video. I imagine I'll be in the truck working the go fast pedal. But if he has someone else doing that, I will be sure to get at least one or two pulls. Too many videos fills up my camera pretty fast.

Is that your guestimate? I really don't know what to expect. As long as it doesn't start with a "1", I'll be happy!

Re: Glock's new project: "Fred" w/ 5.3L LS swap info

yea a 1 something would ruin my day to the point of playing with matches if you catch my drift.

but seriously my guess will be 268hp to the tire(lol) after all the tuning. its a high number but you have low miles. so we'll see!

when i took the goat i was disapointed in the # after all the work i did but after the tune he felt like a different animal. smoother, more responsive, etc...

Re: Glock's new project: "Fred" w/ 5.3L LS swap info

The LM7 new was 285 to 295hp, and torque was 325 to 335. I think your guess sounds pretty good.

Re: Glock's new project: "Fred" w/ 5.3L LS swap info

I think we may all be pleasantly suprised. These engines really wake up with the smog garbage off and a performance tune. There is a place here in Raleigh, NC called RPM, it's Ryans performance Machines. They did a tune, cold air, emissions delete, and I think a bigger T.B. and got almost 345 to the tire on a low mile 5.3 Just wishful thinking. Cant wait to see what my 6.0 will put down.
