Count me in the blue freak club. Nothing attracts me to a vehicle more than a nice shade of blue. It can be the ugliest damn car ever built, but if it has a sweet blue on it, I'll walk over and check it out.

#1 is the rollpan. Granted, it looks better on this truck than most of the trucks I see that pan on these days, but the time of the ZR-1 rollpan has passed. I would replace it with a normal, unlighted rollpan and then stick some good taillights (I prefer the LED set I have in my Suburban) back in where they belong.

The grille update in itself is fine. It doesn't bother me that it was updated and kept the sealed beam headlights, but I don't like the funky "mess" in the openings. Those lights don't fit right in the later grilles and just look ugly in there. The chrome grille does look a little out of place with the painted bumper and everything else on the truck being chrome-free. Maybe color match the grille, or my personal preference, swap to a GMC grille. I do like the sidemarker lights, though. I wish they would make them for the '94-'98 GMC grilles.

The wheels, though not really that bad, just don't work for me. They're too blingy.

The interior looks super-clean from what can be seen. I had a similar seat in my truck long ago. I didn't like the woodgrain, so I smoothed it out and then painted it an accent color, in my case it was gray with the same color blue interior.

But like I said, the overall package looks really good and that blue is very nice. I'm a sucker for blue. The truck was built to the taste of the owner, which isn't all bad, but my tastes tend to skew a little off from the masses and it would need a bit of tweaking to fit my liking.

It's not that bad. If you bought a Suburban in Australia, that's how they came.

That roll pan. Another thing I've never understood is when people do a tail light style roll pan, and then just put covers over the factory lights. That's lame.

On this one it looks like the stock taillights were painted.

tdp that's a good lookin 88. Somebody's put a lot of work in it for sure. I have always liked blue interiors. That paint is a gorgious shade of blue. I too like the small sealed beam headlamps and have them on my 97 GMC. Hope it turns out to be a good truck for ya.

Yeah i might change a few things on the truck too but in order for me to do that i would buy it for myself but otherwise im not going to pick it apart. Good looking truck tdp67 i hope you get it and enjoy it

I too have never really been a fan of these. I also think they look ok on this truck. But, I also have a Z06 so they don't bother me too much. This is probably something I'll change in the future.

As far as the wheels go, I prefer a 5 spoke design but these will do for now. At least they are chrome and have new rubber.

Yes, the clean interior was a big factor in the purchase. I like the buckets with the ability to carry around my 2 boys and or the wife if she's lucky.
I too don't like the wood grain and I will be changing that. The interior has a little too much billet also. The sterring wheel, which you can't see, ac vents and speaker covers.

Thanks, I'm always open to constructive critics and ideas. It's the overall potential of this truck that sold me.

Giving a personal opionion and just flat out picking one apart is two different things. Yes I have given my personal opionion on stuff but I don't go to the extreme to write everything I don't like about another persons truck. With that said, let's get back to the thread and joy some pics, Good day
