Re: Martin's mi-STRESS, 1965 Long Fleetside C10 "Rebuild in ENGLAND"
Was looking for a different photo.
Found these. Long ago. However, I can say that having seen the progress at Martins house, I am amazed.new doors, carpeting, every surface sanded back, sealed, painted, woodwork cpvarnished. Winter is not ideal for outside builds in this country. Trucks will get their turn again. They are patient. Long ago.

Re: Martin's mi-STRESS, 1965 Long Fleetside C10 "Rebuild in ENGLAND"
Thanks Rian
Well I am back on the truck again after a long absence. Got my new rear tyres fitted so it’s rolling again. Enabling me to get it in and out of the carport. I have also finished my rotisserie with some casters so once I get the outer rocker fitted it can be rolled out of the garage and got ready for paint.

Well I got a little bit more done today. So tomorrow I have a choice go to a show called Wheels Day or get some more done on the truck .
I think getting on with the truck might just win

Great to see you back on it Martin, the repair is looking good, don’t forget to try the door fit before you weld everything up

Thanks Ian I did try the door on then made a little adjustment then welded the outer rocker on today . Unfortunately I have just spent an hour on photobucket trying to upload some pictures and gave up .

Re: Martin's mi-STRESS, 1965 Long Fleetside C10 "Rebuild in ENGLAND"
Making the brackets to mount the cab on the rotisserie.
Mounted. On Sunday I took a day off . First heading out to a local bootfair with Sally. I managing to get some flap wheels for about a 1/4 of the usual shop price . After that we headed down to the beach. It was the least I could do , after sally had been helping me hang the door then helping me mount the cab on the rotisserie I think we just needed a bit of relaxation time Finally I finished off on Monday by getting it under cover ready to start the body work

Re: Martin's mi-STRESS, 1965 Long Fleetside C10 "Rebuild in ENGLAND"
The good news
My new bed strips with the fitting kit , and body mouldings and the clips have arrived. On all the C10 Facebook pages most people had recommended Mar-k in Oklahoma for the body mouldings. The reason for this is they are made in the USA no cheap Chinese copy’s . The problem I had was Mar-k don’t deliver to the U.K. . The good news is Topspeed and there sister company CM Frost were able to purchase them from Mar-k and ship them over to the U.K. as they are an agent for them . They arrived very well packed . As for the truck I spent most of the weekend sanding and prepping the floor inside ready for primer.

Re: Martin's mi-STRESS, 1965 Long Fleetside C10 "Rebuild in ENGLAND"
Thanks Bill I would like to at least have the cab painted underneath and the engine bay painted, and the inside all painted Then I plan on getting the cab back on the chassis. If it’s done by the end of the summer, I can start fitting all the parts over the winter . This arrived today to help it happen

Re: Martin's mi-STRESS, 1965 Long Fleetside C10 "Rebuild in ENGLAND"
Well I thought I’d put some updates on . I managed to paint the underneath of the cab with stone chip then the colour. Hugger orange.
Next I primed the firewall then prepared it for colour Well it’s getting there at last

Re: Martin's mi-STRESS, 1965 Long Fleetside C10 "Rebuild in ENGLAND"
Well I got a bit more done on the truck this weekend.
Inner fenders back from sand blasting. Then the rusty section was cut out and the rust replaced with new metal. Then filled and prepared for primer. Then high build primer.
