Re: Slosh Tubz SEMA 2015 Build "BOOSTED BERTHA"
realy like how you put all the electronics under the middle of the seat
hadnt thought about using that space but there should be plenty and verry eazily accessable if you lift the middle seat thinking about a glass dash for my project ........ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NEUDa0Art4s two or tree tft monitors some with thouchscreen for all the gauges navigation and other stuff want to make it so the screens will hide behind a facia and the gauges will be visible through holes in said facia , that allso means that the whont be a lot of space behind the dash this under the seat option solves that

Thanks for sharing the pics.
Always a good day when new updates are posted on Bertha. Seat is killer, along with the whole truck. Hope to get another chance to check out your digs in October again. |

Re: Slosh Tubz SEMA 2015 Build "BOOSTED BERTHA"
Did you ever have your Vapir II AC unit running? Just ordered the Vapir II and TriQ controller from Gary... curious how it performs. Do you have a pic of the controller installed... missed getting that at SEMA? thanks

Re: Slosh Tubz SEMA 2015 Build "BOOSTED BERTHA"
Well, I am back with a few updates.....the plumbing situation has literally had me on hold trying to figure it all out. When I lost my right hand guy Gary I also lost my plumbing expert, so this has been trial by error for me and has been quite frustrating.
The first pic here is a Coolant tank for the supercharger and a crank case ventilation tank for the valve covers that I had custom made. Being this was my first real experience with AN fittings I had no idea that you need to buy your fittings and hose from the same source.....because of different tolerances, another lesson I learned the hard/expensive way. |

Re: Slosh Tubz SEMA 2015 Build "BOOSTED BERTHA"
Next I started plumbing the Resto-Mod air VapirII unit (top notch product) once again stumbling through learning as I go.... trying to keep the lines as hidden as possible

Re: Slosh Tubz SEMA 2015 Build "BOOSTED BERTHA"
The next extremely confusing thing for me has been the hydro-boost system...complicated by the booster being inside the cab. Slowly but surely I am working my way through all of this

I give you props for all of the effort to hide so much stuff. Every part of this truck is just crazy cool!

Re: Slosh Tubz SEMA 2015 Build "BOOSTED BERTHA"
Great update Mike! I can appreciate the challenge you've taken on trying to hide all that hose. The use of bulkheads through that air duct is good thinking! One note, you should always have one straight hose end on a hose assembly. As hard as you try to "clock" angled ends, when you crimp them it'll always be a little bit off and you end up having to twist the hose to install it. Under pressure it leads to leaks and premature hose failure.
