Re: 48 Burb, bagged, 5.3, 20 year wait
Took the body to a buddies shop. He will media blast then coat the floors, fix the hacked dash, couple of rust spots on the window frame and do a firewall. He is very talented and does a lot of metal work.
Getting a little help to fast forward this a bit. I will focus on filling holes in the frame plus making the engine and trans pretty. |

Nice, kinda looks like a burb again. I'll vote for "bringing in a professional to work on your suburban" is ok, as long as it's not to do some major work. LOL

Thanks, Doug. It is. It's a '69 essentially original (aside from what looks to be a decades old repaint and the addition of the awful aftermarket trim) swb medium olive/white top farm truck. It's pretty rusty down low but I'm planning to clean it up, redo the interior, go through the suspension, and drive it. I love these old trucks!

Slow and steady wins the turtle race. Or should I say Burb race.

That is really funny...hey Marc, will you build my Burb so I can come in second place? Wish all you guys could hang out at my shop...good times. Been working on cleaning up garage and doing maintenance stuff around here so I haven't made any Burb progress. Luke has blasted the bottom and inside, primed, fixed the cut out places at the rear sides. I decided to scrap the 99R46 boxes and go for the cleaner look. |

He does. He's made some nice imporvements to that truck. Well worth the money in my opinion. Love the new panels in the rear of the burb. Very sweet!
