Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Burbans!

I see so many suburbans. But the numbers on the 1967 Burbs are quit low as being built See so many with out side makers But have the wrong grills Can any one tell me how many where built in 1966-67 Cus Chevy stated that mid year build date in 1966 when the modal year came to June 1 1966 it would change body year as well. But i have a true 1967 3 door

One of my latest buys, a 1969 Suburban. 1/2 ton, no power steering, power brakes, or A/C. Tan interior. 350/TH350.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Burbans!

Here is a picture of my resurrected project. I have owned this Suburban for 20 years. I did a partial restoration on it 18 years ago. However, about 2 months after I got done with the body work and paint, my wife decided to park it into a parked bass boat and pole. She crushed the header panel and customized the driver's side fender. I started to repair it, but so irritated by the whole thing, I pulled the Billet wheels off of it and threw on a spare set of wheels I had. I also pulled out the 490 HP 383 Stroker out of it, and parked it out behind the barn. That is where it has sat for 18 years. Now my wife has decided to that she wants it fixed so she can take possession of it. So here we go again.

Here is another. You can see the hood latch and hinges have been chromed. Just about everything was replaced 18 years ago.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Burbans!

The engine compartment is covered in a thin layer of Oklahoma red dirt. However, you can see where I rub my fingers on the chrome hood latch and wiped the dirt off. A good bath and she will look fine. Not it too bad of shape for sitting for 18 years. The once brand new weather stripping is in need of replacement again. But, all and all it isn't in bad shape for sitting so long.

Looks like a very nice Burb. and I'm sure you and your family will get a lot of joy and make pleasant memories using it over the next bunch of years. How did you find it, Craigslist, Ebay, relative, friend or friend of a friend? I have wanted a Burb for quite a few years now and can never seem to find the right one, thats is why I'm curious as to how you found yours..

I used search tempest. It searches Craigslist. It was only 3 hours from me to. I've found time and time again you have got to be always hunting and cash in hand ready to hit.

I actually kind of like this paint scheme.

Anyone else?

It's for sale on Atlanta Craigslist for $9500.

I like it for sure! But, it needs redone as does the engine. Otherwise solid.
