Very clean truck. Many upgrades over the years. Speedo works, gas gauge works, cigarette lighter and emergency brake both work. New oak wood installed in bed. New rough country 4-in lift springs on rear installed with shocks. I Have everything for the front. Still has t3 original headlights in it. They are only original once. Comes with1984 k5 blazer axles. Spare Front axle has new ball joints, u-joints,rotors . Truck has a brand new set of Cooper 33" tires. Will sell or trade up or down. I have owned this pickup for 15 years its been super reliable and drives fantastic
I will start right out saying its a nice driver! It has not been restored so the paint is faded and there are bumps and bruises that are typical for a lightly used not worked pickup from 1971. I have mechanically keep it tip top!
The good
-originally a 350 it now has a 454 out of a 1970 Chevelle LS4 hyd lifter version
-also the Turbo 400 automatic transmission out of same car
Engine is stock with headers
-professional carb shop overhauled the carburetor it works great
-I added a distributor that blue tooth to an iPhone so you can map the timing as you drive it is set perfectly no need to mess with it
-its a Cheyenne package. Highest option Chevy had then. It has wood grain interior and the lower trim on the outside
-factory air conditioning
-power steering
-power brakes
-good tires
-GM rally rims with new old stock Stainless Steel beauty rings
-Steel floor bed.
-true dual exhaust
-racing gear reduction mini starter
-new windshield and gasket
-seats out of a 2000’s Silverado so it has 3 point over shoulder seat belts and flip down center console for three person seating
Runs and drives fantastic I have driven it to work in the summer for many years! Never had a problem. It rides stops and turns well and drives on the highway with traffic very well
I changed out every bulb with LED. Even the dash bulbs Left the headlights stock.
The bad
-body and interior looks its age
-rockers cab corners are rusty. It is extremely minimal for its year and very simple repairs. All parts are very common. The cab floors are good and rest of the body just has paint chips
-Interior is original and is not perfect. Carpet is ratty. Dash pad cracked. Seat are changed out and different color. In a restore they would get recovered anyway. I don’t care and just drive it. It looks s not a show truck!
It is really fun to drive the Big block 454 rips and it gets looks everywhere I go
