Re: Topless Thread
I wanted the top on before the floor/rocker repairs were started in a couple of weeks, and I had some help handy. Right now the gas tank is out and being replaced. Tommorow I am welding up a hole in the floor the PO cut in the floor above the aftermarket tanks sending unit??? There was no reason to?? I may do the new rubber body mounts while I am at it? |

Re: Topless Thread
Hopefully, some engine problems decided to add to my project(s). Between the floors/rocker, gas tank, body mounts, rear diff rebuild. I may have to install an engine . I don't think I'll have the finances available so I may not get use of the Jimmy next year.
If I do an engine I may want to go with an overdrive transmission. It may add to the projects also. It's all good though. I plan on keeping it for a while. |

C'Mon Kurt- this isn't what I expected in a "Topless" thread. I must have spent too much time on the internet

Re: Topless Thread
My top has been off since fall. It's sitting over at Critter's house collecting bird doodie. He's probably wanting me to come pick it up but I don't think he realizes that I have ZERO intentions of putting it on for a while seeing as how the weather is so nice

Re: Topless Thread
This is from 2002 Moab Same summer @ the Rubicon = I just got back from Moab the month before, I drove my K5 out to Moab and back to Cali with no major carnage. Then I get to the Rubicon and within the first two hrs busted my rear drive line yoke/u-joint & busted a front U-joint. The pic above is heading out/off the Rubicon in front wheel drive only w/ a bent front driveline....I got real drunk that night camping by the damn with a busted rig... Good Times!

Re: Topless Thread
Snowed yesterday, took it off today... First thing I did was lay some rubber in my bosses warehouse. He was nice enough to let me store my top, so I had to give him something in return...
