That SPID is in pristine condition considering the condition of the remainder of the truck.

Re: Solid paint Cheyennes and CST's

This may be a dumb question but what is the quick answer of the difference between the C10, C20, ect? I have a Cheyenne Super that was given to me by my father. I am thinking of painting it white and just put the botton wood trim back on. Dtopped 4/6 with rallys. Peanut butter interior.
I think it will look sweet. Just wondering if I'm not doing the year or model incorrect by not adding the top trim back on?

Re: Solid paint Cheyennes and CST's

Short version,
CST, Cheyenne Super and Cheyenne Fleetside pickups
C10-K10 are 1/2 ton trucks with 5 or 6 lug wheels, 115" or 127"wb
C20-K20 are 3/4 ton trucks, 8 lug wheels, 127" or 133"wb
C30 are 1 ton trucks, 8 lug 133"wb

Cheyenne Supers, as part of the trim option, included the upper/belt and lower woodgrained bodyside moldings.

CST and Cheyennes, as part of the trim option included lower, woodgrained (69-72), bodyside moldings. The upper/belt moldings were optional.

IMHO without the upper trim and by adding a tan interior you are just going to make it look like a faked Super.

This truck is crazy nice. It's like a 2-3 year old truck. It's absolutely 100% rust free. The paint quality is amazing, and 100% original. And it's not all polished up, it's only been washed. The interior is just as nice. It just turned 70k. I found it on eBay, and bought it from the original owners daughter.

Re: Solid paint Cheyennes and CST's

Dad's - you'll probably get a better answer than this by googling on this site in the upper right corner (i.e. type in your search question and click the 67-72 site, not the web), but, in a nutshell: C10/20/30 = 2WD 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton, 1 ton, respectively. If preceded by a K instead of a C, they were 4x4 models. In other words, the 10/20/30 is a rough connection to GVWR, has nothing to do with trim levels (which were Custom, Custom Deluxe, Cheyenne, and Cheyenne Super in 71/72). The upper trim to which you refer was an option for 69-72, except for the Cheyenne Super (available in 71/72 only) - which had it as standard equipment - so, your truck would have come with it from the factory. One note - the "black paint" reference in the Cheyenne Super description is for the UPPER trim (can be confusing the way it's written, for me anyway...) - the lower trim on Cheyennes and Cheyenne Supers is woodgrain. EDIT: Btw, if you're going to customize it, all bets are off, build it how you want to! Many prefer no upper trim on their trucks (I kinda like it, it's iconic to these trucks I think - but both ways look great). White with a brownish interior is a great combo. And just so you know, if brownish is what you want (peanut butter-ish), Tim at Truckseats on this site makes a saddle houndstooth seat cover that was not a factory option but looks AWESOME in these trucks and right at home. Most won't catch that it's custom at a show.

As always (for you) Joe its a beautiful truck in a great color combo! Please post more pictures of this gem.
Agree on changing the wheels but I for one would love to see it with aluminum slots.

Tim, I bought a set of slots for this truck about a month ago. It will get white wheels first, then I'll try the slots after I get them polished

Dealer tag under the Cheyenne nameplates? Amazing truck Joe. You need a separate thread just for his one truck so we can all see how things should look.

That is the dealer sticker.

Its in storage with some other trucks right now. When I finish cleaning it up and doing a few things to it I'll start a thread on it.
