Re: 1972 Chevrolet Cheyenne K30 Extended Cab Dually REBUILD thread.

Wiring has begun. We sorted through everything and started directing the old and new wires in the correct locations. We now have the fuse panel hot and the truck will start with the key. Next set we will get us an alternator operational and start on the lights.

BTW, I havent spent the time yet to figure out what those wires coming out of the top hole are for...anyone know so I dont have to trace them down in the book.

Re: 1972 Chevrolet Cheyenne K30 Extended Cab Dually REBUILD thread.

We had a short day today but managed to get the external voltage regulator hooked up, the wires all wrapped, the battery and tray installed and a new negative cable added. The positive cable was a little short for my routing preference and I noticed the new power steering pump was leaking so i had to take that off to be swapped out today. We have grown tired of looking at the old frame. Anyone interested PM me.

Readied 2 street rods for Frog Follies at the end of the month, removed an engine from a 72 GMC 2500 4x4 and put a new fan clutch on the diesel project.

Re: 1972 Chevrolet Cheyenne K30 Extended Cab Dually REBUILD thread.

It has been more of a parts collecting few weeks. Gauges, tires, new u-bolts for the axle relocation blocks among other things. By the end of the month is should be on the road.

Re: 1972 Chevrolet Cheyenne K30 Extended Cab Dually REBUILD thread.

We were able to make some progress this past week. Tires mounted, front and rear axles relocated and gauge cluster has been assembled. We will start to wire all the gauges this coming week, throw the seat back in it and it will be time for a shake down run!!

reason I ask is I have a 92 Cummins dually that needs bigger tires, (I plan on doing a similar build creating a C60 crewcab)
