Magnaflow XL. Not the straight thru. I like to hear the supercharger whine.

Re: 59 Apache/C6 Corvette build
Lots to update: New wheels. Not powder coated yet. Rear fenders widened and front close to dialing in the widened fenders. Hammer Fab has been kicking some butt!

I loaded actual pics rather than links. Hopefully that fixed the pics.

Re: 59 Apache/C6 Corvette build
Those steps are super sexy. Most would've left the step work you had already done, but this is a nice touch.

Re: 59 Apache/C6 Corvette build
The factory steps were widened for the 1 7/8" widened fender, but we stretched it to 3" and the new steps looks amazing. The truck looks much better with the wider fender(in my opinion) with the big tires and wider front.

Re: 59 Apache/C6 Corvette build
well, you got me of the couch with that last set of pics. the one with the widened rear fender and the sliced off front fender. I have a 57 and will need to do that same thing on my front fender due to a frame swap that is a wider track width.
nice work. great fab skills. are you working in a shop with fab tools for sheet metal or wingin it with what you have? |

Re: 59 Apache/C6 Corvette build
haha, I had to say it, "working with what you have".
NICE SHOP! even without the tools seen in the background, which just to have that much room would be awesome. not wasting time moving stuff taken off so there is room to do some work. gotta love it. keep posting, your work is great. |

Re: 59 Apache/C6 Corvette build
dsraven: My shop is small and I don't have those skills. I now have the 59 at Hammer Fab in Texas. I fell in love with Levi Green's 58 Apache that won truck of the year at SEMA in 2019 so when they had an opening, I jumped on it after visiting the shop.

Re: 59 Apache/C6 Corvette build
I started a thread called "widening front fenders" after seeing yours. Curious about using the flared section from a big fendered truck. Slice it off and install like yours. Would need to also shorten or modify the opening length to fit the tires. Yours looks awesome. Thanks for posting up the progress pics. I actually am wearing down the pile of stuff in front of my project so soon I may be able to see it again and get back to work.

Re: 59 Apache/C6 Corvette build
Thanks, The plan is to blend the GMC and Chev grill. The GMC grill is off a stepside GMC.

Re: 59 Apache/C6 Corvette build
I didn't think there was a difference between stepside of fleetside grilles. did you mean COE GMC?
