Re: Project Money green
I'll have to see if there is space to add h or j pipe. Mostly it's just to loud, my gto had the same issue and I added small resonators and it made it alot better. I'm sure it doesn't help that there is no sound deadining in the interior.

Re: Project Money green
Put resonaters on exhaust and it's much better. Went for a ride and when I got back the fans stopped working and got real hot in my driveway. Gonna chase a few things this week and hopefully get it figured out.

Re: Project Money green
Took the boys out for donuts, ice cream and popsicles. Truck ran good, need some more sound deadening and I think I'm gonna change mufflers to a magnaflow 3 chamber from the straight through ones that are on it.

Re: Project Money green
Truck is back from getting Dyno tuned. Runs awsome. Made 330rwhp and 335rwtq, before you bash it's a very stingy mustang Dyno. Dyno owner says it runs about 23% lower then Dyno jet. It made a average of 298tq from 2300 -6000, very happy with results. I'll post graph shortly

Re: Project Money green
Update: installed the AAW harness and worked through some small issues. Truck is running really good and took it to the first car show about 45 minutes from the house. 75-80mph at 2000rpm.is really nice. Gonna work on getting some more sound deadening in and get AC lines installed.

Re: Project Money green
Thanks, it's a blast to drive. Got right around 20mpg on our last trip. Gas mileage goes out to window when I let the wife drive, she loves the sound of exhaust!

Re: Project Money green
Spent the last few weekends installing a hydro boost and new trailing arms. Hydro boost works great but was not impressed with directions or the fact that kit was missing fittings. Not sure if I'll buy from CPP again.
The ECE trailing arms was a great product and came with everything needed and the sales guy couldn't have been any more helpful. Truck rides great now and alot of the sounds from rear are gone now. My original trailing arms were separating and driver's side was cracked where u bolt went through. It was definitely time. |

Re: Project Money green
Made a trip to NC this weekend and picked up a very rust free suburban body with all the doors. Apparently the guy got it from a closed down body shop in Alabama. Had been sitting in the corner for 25+ years. Got the rear ac as well. Not sure if I'm going to us it for parts or swap entire body, gotta get it cleaned out and on the lift to see how solid it looks
