Re: The Burb a long time coming

So it seems we are having 1 off chassis to body issues once again, this time being the front inner wheel liners ...

I have a set of "Hill's Rods and Custom" drop style inner wheel well liners, but they won't fit this chassis without major mods which could make them weak so instead of cutting them up its time for a even more custom approach.

The Hills pieces fit a stock or porterbuilt set up, my body is lower on the frame by a few inches so I can't use them now.

I tried unsuccessfully to look it up, but I think Hill's has 2 versions of their inner fenders - slam and super slam. Maybe give them a call before you go full custom and see if you can swap them out. If not, someone will buy your current ones for sure so it isn't money wasted.

Re: The Burb a long time coming

Ya, I have been informed they no longer sell parts

Guess I will be selling some front tubs pretty soon and switching over to my other choice, Self Made Fab ... it was what I was looking at for a non-stock appearance, and they are metal and will allow for modification work with ease.

Re: The Burb a long time coming

Lots of machinists out there that could handle that kind of job. Check out Mike Curtis of Curtis Speed, Jason Britz on Instagram @jason62702, Rad Machining on Instagram @radmachining, or EVOD Industries

Picked up a Flex-A-Lite Extruded Tube Core Radiator and Dual Fan Combo to hide under the SelfMade radiator cover ... the product reviews seem good, also came with their multi-speed fan controller built in...

Re: The Burb a long time coming

And solved that transmission / tight body mod ... made the frame and body real tight but when we lowered the body the 700R4 got crowded so I thought maybe high hump for clearance just need to remember to change the carpet selection
