I wish you were around Newnan or Peachtree somewhere closer to Columbus, GA. I could probably get over to help a lot. But that being said I do travel up to Acworth sometimes to visit my sister. Maybe when you plan the transfer I can make it up there one weekend to help.

Thanks guys... Orderd my Accuair e-level kit last week so it should be here shortly. Hopfully I can get that, the break and the gas lines installed on Saturday.

two questions though,
1- If your going to the extent of using the front dropmember won't you need more than just the bolt in rear notch? just thinking the dropmember will allow your frame rails to lay flat but the bolt in notch will leave the rear hanging a few inches off of the ground out back. guess that all depends on overall tire diameter though. So what is the secret wheel & tire combo going to be ? wish I had your budget also..
2- If i understand this right you are going to transplant the red body onto this frame, what was wrong with the original body?, other than you wanted a 67 front clip? I guess you could build a whole truck out of the extras and sell it as a complete truck when your done. Anyway you have done one heck of a job for a first timer and that is going to be one (or two) bad truck(s) when you are done ,Great job man !

This was one of the things I debated for a long time. I wasnt sure if I wanted to "lay frame" but I wanted to keep my options open and I am thinking about doing that in the future. The main reason I wanted to go with the drop member was for the bolt on rack n pinion. I chose to not do a drop spindle so I dont go that low in the front. The e-level kit should be here SOON...the bags will let me see and adjust how its going to look. If I dont like it Ill just get a set of drop spindles and do a 4-Link. Well see how it goes...

That is correct... This was a HUGE learning curve for me and also shows my ROOKIE-NESS. I really wanted a 67-72 truck and found the 71 that looked like it was in great shape. I was planning on the frame off restore and when I started tearing her down I started getting all the rusty surprises, bondo surprises, and really crappy body work. So I started parting it out thinking I can just get after market parts. I ended up making 10x the money I paid for the truck just parting it out. So thats where a lot of the cash came from to do this build. I really wish I would started with the red/orange truck. I would have had it made! Anyway... I have learned a ton from this and I know what to look for on my next build.

And about the wheels..... I have been debating this bc I have yet to see it done. But Coy offers a Black Chrome wheel that I was thinking bout buying and them and having my bumpers sent off to get black chromed... but it looks like the only people that do the black chrome are in cali. Thats a TON of $$ to have them shipped out there, have them dipped, them mail them back. Its still am option... but I may need to start keeping an eye on my budget hahaha

Bought 1 of the new 20" Boss 338 series wheels to make sure they will fit without having to machine my rotors and it fits perfect. I am running a 1.25" rotor. Im so glad they fixed this issue. Now its time to order the rest! Tracking on my Accuair says its "OUT FOR DELIVERY" so I should be getting them this afternoon.... Just sucks I am going to be at work til 10:00pm every day this week... so I wont have time to play with my new toys until next week. Sometimes owning a business sucks! lol

Hezie... hey man... Yea it was awesome chatting with you at the yearone show. Its always fun running into someone with a passion about their C10 like yourself. Yeah Walter... it was good to meet you too. Glad you come by. Here is the info on the wheels. They look awesome. Ordered the other wheels and some tires today. So HOPEFULLY I can get a day off here soon so I can finish this frame up.

Got my Accuair suspension mounted up and working. Here is a video I took of my buddy brandon... he and my brother-in-law, shane, helped me install all of this Saturday. Now I've got to get the e-level sensor mounted and Ill be good to go. Sorry video was kinda choppy after up loading it. I will post better videos and pics up tonight.
