Re: 1966 Chevy SWB Gasser influenced truck
i agree - i like the truck very much - but also agree - it is not a gasser - ive been thinking aboiut actually doing my LWB in gasser style, but wont be for a while - need to get it to be a daily driver first and foremost or it will be a mobile home for my divorced ass.
anyway - nice job, i love that sea foam green exterior and Im in process of stealin your gold theme motor great job man! |

Re: 1966 Chevy SWB Gasser influenced truck
Im glad it was finally considered a support truck.....put some bumper guards on the front or a push plate and then it can also be a salt flats push car too! By the way that vid clip is insane, short but so motivating! love the stance, sound and look....your project is actually really great and period correct for any route a owner of that day was going for.

Re: 1966 Chevy SWB Gasser influenced truck
One of my favorite trucks on this site, and I wouldn't change a thing because it's perfect. I had forgotten how good Cragars looked on 60-66 trucks.
Your truck would look awesome at Bakersfield push-starting a nostalgia Top Fueler. |

Re: 1966 Chevy SWB Gasser influenced truck
The Pusher has been neglected, ignored and put on the "WAY"backburner.
Just finished School/program for "promotion" at work.( May 2009-June 2010) Sold my daily driver Nissan hardbody. Bought cool 1977 Blazer for daily driver. Cleaned it up and Sold it Bought Cool squarebody for daily driver.Cleaned it up and Not gonna sell it. Bought old VW racecar. Put it back together and sold it Bought a VW FASTBACK my very first car back Jan 2010 after selling it in July 1997. Cleaned it up fixed a bunch of things now it is a "RUNNER DRIVER".

Fastback pics.
NOW BACK ON The Pusher SEE PICS Poterbuilt trailing arm crossmember bolted in. Cover plates pop rivited on. Rear shocks tacked in. Panhard bar tacked in Bags and brackets next. Once all tacked in. Check it and weld it. IT IS GETTING REAL CLOSE TO BURNOUT TIME

Re: 1966 Chevy SWB Gasser influenced truck
That is the baddest MF'in truck I've seen in here or anywhere else! I am so in love with it! The color is pretty close to my 63's. I just wanna tell you that I am going to bite a HUGE chunk of your style man! I have my bags ready, I need to start gathering up the rest of my parts, including a DM & especially similar looking wheel/tire combo! Hope you don't mind! Mine's a step-side anyway!
