I also cut out my center speaker grill and you can see the hole in the last picture above. I hope to get it welded up soon.

Re: Project "Edna Marie"

Here is my Basement Bathroom. The subway tile sucked to do in the shower. I hope this might be my last tile job that I have to do.

Hahah it's a spare, so I don't care.

Hey Vic - heading to Greensboro this week for work but maybe in the next few weeks could you help me fab the passenger side rounded corner for the firewall?

Thanks - it is going to be a long project since my wife is going back to school. However that is a good since I need to spend time learning sheet metal and welding. I am starting to feel more confident so that is a good thing.

Looking good Brian! Hopefully here shortly I'll have some good pics posted of dads truck. Everything is done except the bed and a few smaller pieces. We need to catch up sometime.

No the roof isn't finished. I have everything pretty much done minus the outer skin. I wanted to practice welding and start to feel more confident before tackling it. I think this spring it will be finished up.

Re: Project "Edna Marie"

Well once again I have more none truck news. The reality hit me that my jeep was to small for my family so I ended up trading it in on a new Dodge Ram. I think it was a good decision since it saves me 140 a month and also allows me to haul things easily for this 67 project. I also sold my military trailer.

Re: Project "Edna Marie"

Since i have made some progress on the firewall and fuel neck hole. I also have the frame set up and am starting to work on it. I figure i am about a year out on ordering all my Porterbuilt stuff. I think i have my wife talked into making a road trip with the family to pick up all the Porterbuilt parts and also have a vacation next summer with the family. I have about a year to get the metal and body work done and get the frame prepped for the crossmembers.

Re: Project "Edna Marie"

I am planning on ordering the cheaper Porterbuilt crossmembers soon. The one that mounts to the radiator support (mine is bent from a poor tow job) and also the two that will go around the Boyd gas tank in the rear. This way I can cut out the factory crossmembers to make room for the Porterbuilt ones.

I also picked up a nice cowl from Sduckworth.. -Thanks!

If anyone has a nice drive side radiator support frame mount. Let me know? Mine has been ground down in what looks like a fitment issue for a power steering pump.

Nice work on the firewall. Looks clean. Hey just a heads up about that area to the lower left of your fan filler. I had some rust bubble up on mine just a while back. I did the repair in 2012. It looks like you got it all but like I said I had some come back through my epoxy and high build. I ended up cutting a bunch more back out. You might double check it while it's still bare metal. I'm not saying your's will rust, just what I had happen after it was blocked out and ready for wet sanding
Keep the pictures coming.

Thanks for the heads up. I have actually cut the outside area behind the inside vent so I can take care of the rust from the inside out. I will post pics of that repair since it is on the list to take care of soon.

Re: Project "Edna Marie"

Well I have some bad news. I already wrecked my new Dodge truck shown above. I had 900 miles on it and did 8500 dollars worth of damage. I am out a vehicle until it gets finished. The good is no one got hurt.

I have finally got some work done on the frame. I am starting to work on getting the old crossmembers and old style suspension out of the frame. I was hoping to have ordered the Porterbuilt front radiator crossmember and the rear crossmember by now but the truck deductable and also the ticket I received since I was at fault. Hopefully soon I can get some funds up so can buy those so I can get them mocked up in the frame.

Some great clearance work by a previous owner. I will be fixing this soon.
