Re: My 56 Handyman build

Looks great love a longroof, the gloss on the dash might be a little hard to see. The glare off the windshield can be a problem.

What are your plans for the upholstery, stock, pleated, diamonds, and color?

That's looking great. It's making me want my 1964 Dodge wagon back.

Busy last week. The exhaust has been installed and the trans cooler is all plumbed and ready to go. The driveline was made and installed.
This next week the glass is getting installed and also the speedo gear for the speed sensor.

Looking great, nice to see progress being made. Looks to me like that curved rear glass could have been tricky to install.

Re: My 56 Handyman build

It's getting closer and closer escaping body shop jail.
The doors are done with the final adjustments, tailgate and lift gates are installed, the sound deadening is installed on the floor and doors and the left front fender is still fighting us with the fit with the hood.

Re: My 56 Handyman build

Beautiful project. I absolutely love it.

May I ask: Why did you install 1955 dash stainless rather than 1956? Just personal preference? I prefer what you have too but I know some guys are sticklers about details like that.

I like the look of bow ties. I'm building it for myself.

Re: My 56 Handyman build

Finally got to the point where we got the engine started. Moved the car under its own power outside and drove it around the block.
Just a few finishing touches and off to the upholstery shop.

Also installed the rear bumper and license plate lights.
