Re: High School Project (first build)

aighty well things are still slow and im still broke. The doctor thinks i have carpal tunnel syndrome so i havent been able to work but i hate sittin around so i decided id deal with the pain and just go work a bit so i cut my rockers off:

then i made some custom hinges for my tag bracket because im too broke to buy some:

then mounted it up with an old tag i had layin around just to see how it looks:

so now if my tag hit somethin it wont break off itll just swing... thats about it for now....

Re: High School Project (first build)

How does the floating rear axle deal work? What are you going to use to keep the frame up with no where to put springs and shocks?

Re: High School Project (first build)

thanks twitchin.
the floating axle.... where the frame stops in the back i am goin to build a bridge/ rear crossmember and put bag mounts on that. i havent decided if im gonna keep the trailing arms and add a wishbone or if i just wanna scrap those and do a 3 link or single triangulated 4 link (no place really for a panhard)... but then the bottom bag mounts will go on the trailing arms or link bars depending on what i decide to use....
