Re: Lambrecht Auction Underway
Here are some I took. I will add more as I get time to upload.
These are all new trucks bought by the same guy. This is half of the load headed to St.Louis. The other half would be comprised of two more new 60's trucks and one 76 truck. This one had 1.3 miles on it, the box was gone, I assume stolen. This was sold on day2 it was the last of the new trucks so people started getting desperate, it sold for $27,000. If it sold with the rest of the batch on Day 1 I would guess it would only bring $14,000-$15,000 Another stump, different truck Alot of leaning and sitting on happening, sold or not, the cars became seats.

Re: Lambrecht Auction Underway
Boy, do a lot of us think alike! I was already headed in that direction.
I'm sure it could be done way better by others, including ksshane. But, anyway, here's mine. I left one guy in there "looking":

Re: Lambrecht Auction Underway
I know alot of people are complaining about what people paid for these vehicles and Im sure being there you just get wrapped up in the whole thing... But... at least these car and trucks get a second chance. We have all heard the horror stories of similar lots full of old classics that the people didnt want to take the time to sell so they just had them all scrapped.
A good friend of mine here at work inherited his grandfathers house and land (this was before I met him). His grandfather ran a junk yard and specialized in trucks. And as "bad" luck would have it my friend is also a rancher who raises cattle. So to him it was just waisted land. He had a wrecking company come in a crush all the trucks and they gave him a few hundred bucks for each one. He showed me a picture of the yard before he had the trucks crushed. There are just rows and rows of trucks from mid 30's to early 70's.

Re: Lambrecht Auction Underway
This here sign sold for $1400, kinda neat how it was part of a science project by the daughter, hard to see but her name Jean Lambrecht was on the bottom corner.
Some interesting vehicles in the area, this is one of the attendees.

Doesn't that just make you sick....maybe you should show your friend what these vehicles brought for money.....maybe it would make him sick thinking of what he "gave" away...lol. |

Money not well spent. It would have been neat to experience though.

Re: Lambrecht Auction Underway
This truck has 7 miles or something, was talking to the guy and he said he was planning on driving it. And the award to the most out of place person goes to..... I really don't know how he kept those pants so clean, there was pretty nasty rain storm the night before. The grounds were pretty messy. This guy was from Hot Rod Magazine taking pictures, he was standing next to me contemplating whether or not he should take a picture of my muddy feet in my flip flops. The infamous $225 yard stick Estimates were between 10,000 to 15,000 people showed up The $11,000 new 1970 as they called it. They said that the caught the guy that stole the parts and got some of them back. This is what $40k will buy you $16,000 pedal car

Re: Lambrecht Auction Underway
The government shut down? Looks to me like some brain cells shut down.
Of course, that's only my (hard earned) $.02. What people want to do with their own $$$ is up to them, I always say.

Re: Lambrecht Auction Underway
I was looking for pics of the auction that were taken by spectators and came across these, seems we have a mutual friend, Adam Weber.
I really wanted a 1959 Chevy and that Lumina APV.
