Re: Post pics of your 47-59 Chevy trucks!
1957 1/2 ton stepside. 235CI, 3 speed on the column. My parents bought it in South Carolina in 2000 for $2500. It is pretty solid all around, with some surface rust and almost no rot. I use it as my bike hauler to take to the track - In the distant future, body work will be done and it will be painted dark green. The bed on it currently is from a '48 GMC I believe, have the original nicer bed sitting waiting for paint. Love these trucks and I wish it was mine.... Oh well, I'll just drive it for free!

Re: Post pics of your 47-59 Chevy trucks!
My next project. I paid about $2300 with delivery from near Oklahoma to Houston. It came with a bad motor but its complete with all the chrome and stainless pieces. Its a 59 3100 deluxe cab short fleetside. Its just sitting in the corner of the shop for now untill I can get time to work on it

Re: Post pics of your 47-59 Chevy trucks!
Here are two more the first is my current 59 when it was 2WD and our work horse. Photo is taken in Oregon during the time we (me, wife, 4yr and 4 month old daughters) lived in it for 3 months in 1977 traveling the western US. We had a vinyl tube between the cab and camper at the back window. The second is the 1957 I bought in 1969 from GSA. I sold it in 70 when I got drafted.

Re: Post pics of your 47-59 Chevy trucks!
Go to http://photobucket.com/ and make yourself an account. uploading pics is fairly easy. If you need me to walk you thru it I will. but you need an account first. Do it before you go to bed!

Re: Post pics of your 47-59 Chevy trucks!
Seems as though you have to click a larger size when doing a transfer of info
above the links to pick from there is a size chart....click on the largest one "600" Sorry about the girlie pics, that's all i have on Webshots for now! Last edited by THE AMERICAN GARAGE; 12-10-2008 at 10:23 PM. |

Re: Post pics of your 47-59 Chevy trucks!
I guess so...open up your pics in full size at Webshots. Underneath the picture you chose, there should be a menu bar offering options. click on the one that looks like an open book with a blue bar over the top (on my mac it's 2nd from the right). This will open a page called "post this photo" then highlight the "post in a forum" link. then go to menu bar "edit" (at the top of your computer page) and select "copy" then within your posting in this thread go to the menu bar "paste" and the link will show up in your post because photobucket is hosting the image you chose. you are C & P'ing (cop and pasting the image link to photobucket).
I'm gonna try a picture from my webshots albums to see if it works? Don't laugh at me if it doesn't - I'm trying this webshots thing the first time too... actually that's a thumbnail to click on and will open another page with the webshots fullsize. let me see other options.... Re: Post pics of your 47-59 Chevy trucks!
I believe you can click on the girlie pic and it'll take you to a page where you might be able to see all the girls I have on Webshots!
anyways, keep messing with it! You'll get it. but i still say having a photobucket account is easy as cake. |
