Re: 66 suburban build
Cool... As I was considering the same... Once I cut that part-depending on what's lurking inside-I may weld too.. It'll be another month or two before I get there..

Ha Ha, you got me..It slowed down some.I keep reminding myself I have 5 months to finish this thing for Cruisin the Coast. I'm gonna try to set the engine and trans this weekend. I'll paint the firewall soon so I can put the body back on. Then I think it will look like I'll make it

how did you do your bags on the back? did you just drill the extra holes or did you use a bracket??

Re: 66 suburban build
If your talking about the bottom the bolt goes through the trailing arm and on the top I used the cup that came with the bag. Theres a little double sided bolt that bolts through the same hole as the spring..

WOW is about all I can say. I've got a 63 Burb coming my way. I wish I had your talent and space to work it like this. I can't wait to see how it finishes out. Enjoy your vacation!

Re: 66 suburban build
We're still at it guys..The 56 dings from hail damage are gone on the top..Used some Fusor seam sealer in the drip rails (nice stuff).. Started gaping the tailgate and lift gate..We just got back in the groove and "Bam" another trip to the beach...So we will hit it hard next week..Later...
