Thanks flips. I was on duty at the fire station yesterday so I had to see the truck via a picture. And with the snow today I wasn't able to get there today to see it. So tomorrow I'm heading to the shop to see the truck.
A big congrats back to you you have one of the nicest trucks out there in this world of C-10's. Have a great day.

Re: 1965 C-10 LS build

Went to look at the truck today and I looks better in person. Bob got the ret of the panels painted today so Friday everything should be home ready to put back together. I will have to keep telling myself to take it slow and steady when putting it back together. For me it's easier said then done. I still need to buy a few things to completely put it back together but nothing that will hold me up right now. Here are a couple of pics:

The color is close to the door jam color. But I like the outside combo and with the doors closed you can't tell.

Have a good day everyone.

Congrats on starting your reassembly!
I think that is the most fun part so far.
I also have to say that your color combo came out looking smooth, nicely done !!

Thanks. The Colors are; the gray is gun smoke metallic from Hot Rod Flatz, the blue is House of Kolors KD 3000 series. It's mixed 5 quarts of the blue KD 3005 and about 3/4 of 1 quart of the KD 3002. Along with the hardener and reducer. We mixed it 4:1:1 and it flowed out and payed done smooth. I still have about 2 quarts left. Kind of over bought. Thanks again for the words. Have a good night. Robert

Re: 1965 C-10 LS build

Well almost all of the interior wiring is done. I still need to finish the heater motor wires and check the wiring for the wiper motor. I think I may have mixed up a couple of wires, I had to make my own harness for it. Should be a quick fix. I had the truck back a week and it seems to be going slow or no getting much done. For the past rep days I been working on the power windows and power locks and I think it took almost a total of 10 hours to get everything installed, working and the door panels. What a pain in the a$$. But everything works and it looks good. Here are a couple of pics;

Ok so there a few pictures!! I'm hoping next week to get the motor and trans in. Also I decided to move the air tank and compressor out of the cab and either in the bed or under somewhere. I'm back to work tomorrow so I most likely won't get much done this weekend. So I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Thanks flips. I had a few (what I like to call) "outburst" while making them and while try to put them in, but everyone that seems to likes them.
Thanks again and have a good day,
Robert

Re: 1965 C-10 LS build

I noticed your have AN fittings in the water pump for the heater lines. What did you use to install those? How do the factory hose connections come out?

BTW, it is looking good!

Thank you. I had to use a little cutting, prying and pulling to get the fittings out, there just pressed in. The I use a 3/8 pipe tap for the smaller hole and a 1/2 pipe tap for the larger hole. I didn't have to do any drill to the holes. The 3/8 hole was a 3/8 npt to -10 AN fitting. The 1/2 hole was a 1/2 npt to -12 AN fitting.
I just took my time tapping the holes out didn't want to take a chance of cracking and breaking the aluminum. I was harder to get the old ones out then to put the new ones in. They don't want to come out very easy.

Thanks again for the words. Have a good day,
Robert
