Re: Nudder Music Thread: 67-72 Music
The Young Rascals' "How Can I Be Sure" could cause a hip hugger snap or two to ... Oh yeah, the family is watching ! Kinda like...
Soften her up some more with this: If that didn't work you'd have to lay it on real thick... No? Might need an additive, some alternative substance... Diggit? Oh well. Sometimes you just have to put it all out there and take what you want!

Re: Nudder Music Thread: 67-72 Music
I don't get into a Zepplin mood too often, but when I do it pretty much means the whole neighborhood is, too!
And here's a group inspired by that song, Trampled Under Foot, closing out a set with some Rock & Roll:

Re: Nudder Music Thread: 67-72 Music
It's Friday night so I better post something up. It wouldn't be 1970 w/o this song
I think Rare Earth thought they were the new Motown Probably because of Vanilla Fudge doing this song

Re: Nudder Music Thread: 67-72 Music
The Doors were all over this era for sure. How could it have taken till now for me to think of Jeff Beck and Rod Stewart? I was playing these tapes for sure!
This is my alltime favorite Rod Stewart song. Love it just as much today as nearly 50 years ago. It'd raw loose sound and his scruffy voice are a perfect match. AND... you get Ron Wood's guitar

Re: Nudder Music Thread: 67-72 Music
I was 10 in 1967 so I was listening to what my older siblings were into most of the time. I remember At night we were able listen to KOMA AM radio out of Oklahoma City . They played better music than the local AM stations in Pueblo .

I remember Cowgirl In The Sand as a theme for the times. I liked Neil Young and never had a gal argue on that. They loved him!
Can't leave out Cinnamon Girl. Another anthem of the time. Let's just set on Neil a while

So 1967 brought on a brave new world. We had the bold new truck line, the frisky little thing called Camaro, and we had THIS!!
(I can't make this stuff up) 1968

This was a great band. Talk about some good drumming
The Beatles kicked a little dust with this one

A very well oiled machine at this point. So smooth. So fine

Re: Nudder Music Thread: 67-72 Music
John Mayall felt compelled to write a song about Groupie Girls in '71. Musta seen enough of that. He just turned 86 this week, still out there doing his music, gathering top musicians
