keith, Truck is looking good!
if you dont mind me asking where did you get the dolly's from. I have seen some at harbor freight, but just curious, where you picked those up from, and are those the same dollies that are supporting the jackstands in previous pics.

Thanks

I picked them up at a local swap meet and they are the same ones that are supporting the jack-stands.

Re: Hazel the older Sister....

Looks like the shocks "lay down" when the bags "air up". I'm pretty sure that won't work.

Guy's (SCOTI/n2billet), I think Heath was able to pull the information you might need in relation to the KYB shocks. Check it out...

I know this drill well.... Scuff & spray is just that. You want to clean everthing as much as possible using a Scotchbrite pad (green or red) & some cleaner if warranted (SimpleGreen or similar). This frame was very clean so it didn't require the SimpleGreen step. It was scrubbed, blown off w/an airhose, & then thoroughly wiped down w/some shop towels soaked in thinner to degrease everything.

For color, we like to drive these things which means stuff will get chipped/scratched & we want to be able to do quick spot repairs. The frame/suspension are coated w/Krylon industrial semi-flat black (available @ places like Grainger & Fastenall). Easy to apply, dries fast, but is not bullet proof.

If there's any hint of rust on your frame (none on this one), use a DA sander on the outer surfaces to remove as much as possible (all of it if possible). A large diameter wire wheel on a drill will help get stuff off the inside surfaces.

Just wipe everything down w/thinner or degreaser prior to laying down your choice of color. Use 'lint free' towels too to keep things free of lint trash.

Re: Hazel the older Sister....

SCOTI is right, that is a fool proof way to prep one if you are going to drive it and not make a trailer queen. For the paint, I have used Rustoleum Semi Flat Black that I got from Home Depot and was very pleased with the results. Same as the Krylon, tought but not completely bullet proof.

I hope the we get to see more of Hazel soon, I know he has other more important things on his plate right now.
