Have you decided on your mufflers yet?

Do you want to run tail pipes straight out the back, turned out behind or in front of the rear wheels, or just turned down at the rear axle?

I going for magnaflow mufflers cause they more on the quieter side and the tail pipes will come out before rear wheels

I'll be watching this one!
This is what I was thinking too after the first couple of pages....wish I had some "disposable" income like this for my many projects. I'll just keep playing the powerball. Nice project! I will following too.

This is going to be one wicked ride. What are you going to do for the suspension and brakes. I am starting to plan that out for my 6.0l swap. So I am looking for suggestions.

They are nice i was going to bend mine but i didn't cause it probably look bad because of how i wanted the exhaust so i settled for mandrel bends and we had to make the x pipe.

UPDATE!!!

Hey Guys I am still out the states seems like i got 1 more month left but i got some progress pics on the exhaust from my friend
excuse the crappy iphone pics.

What do guys think? I couldn't find anything besides the long tip.
Which one should i go with? Any other suggestions before i give him the okay to weld it.

This how long the tip right now.

I kind off photo-chopped the tip (shorter) #1

photo-chopped the tip (shortest) #2

Thats the where the muffler is.

Cutouts installed can be replaced with cats if i need them.

Exhaust looks good. Just keep the tips as short as possible in my opinion.

I'd go with the shorter tip and make the cut vertical to the body. It looks like the back of the tip sticks out little more than the front.

The x pipe looks awesome but so does the rest of the exhaust. I agree to keep it as close as possible but Damien has a good point to adjust the tip vertical maybe it will look better.jmo What muffler are you using?

Exactly what i was going to say. Make the cut align with the body panel and tuck it in under the body a little like in the last option you showed.

+3 on changing the tip angle.

Those V-Band flanges are awesome ! Gotta love having a modular exhaust you can change around.

Well, at least as far as exhaust goes. Maybe not everything.

Hey buddy I had a question, I have a 1977 Gmc Stepside, when you upgraded to Led on the Right side (driver side) tail light stay bright when your lights are on? Is that because orginally that is where the lisense plate went? You can email me at or reply me at Big_bad_dogs11@yahoo.com
Thanks,
Jose

Re: 79 C10 swap with L92 with 6L90

Thanks guys i tell my friend to shorten the tip and get it flush with body or maybe not weld the last part until i get back and get the car running and go back and do it the way i like cuz i don't trust the camera on that each angle make the exhaust look different.
