Re: Project: Old Timer...

Thanks guys!

I did get something done today, but you'll have to wait for pics....

The truck will roll around now, and the bolt on body drop definitely does make a difference.

I also cut my bed down to a short bed. It's not fully welded and my fenders aren't on, but it is cut down. I'm really happy with how it's turning out, but needs some more work.

I cut the rear brace out and I needed something else to go back in there... so I had this tranny crossmember that I won't be using. I cut the trans mount off and smoothed it up and it worked perfect!

very nice.....mine is a 2-3- weeks out right now but nice to see what im looking at...on my build the back was a concern because the po had already built a "notch" and i ended up going with the rear trailing arm bolt on kit from nate to match the dropmember but so when I had to remove the old notch the rear part was a concern but now seeing what im going to be putting on for the body drop all my worries are gone...thanks for putting that picture up.

You ready?

Start off with the bed.... I took twenty inches out of the middle. I still need to finish welding and some trimming on the bottom. Bolt up my fenders and cut down my steps.

It is Nate's bolt on body drop, I just don't have the front mounts yet. The core support is just sitting on the frame for now.

Just some stabs so i could roll it around. They where like three different colors, so I had to make them match.

Very COOL! What are your plans for wheels and tires? I agree and like the wheels and hubcaps on it! Those caps would look sick on some Delmo smoothies! Keep up the progress!

Thanks man...but just cause I've got two dosen't mean they'll both be done any time soon. This build is going to be a long term project.
