we are doing the same thing today. 2000 miles apart. funny.
and i dont think clown truck, i think those are parts you touched. if they were $$ spendy stuff they would come in what ever color that mfg made them, red bushing baby blue sway bar red springs white shocks and on and on. so keep at it. wish i wasnt so rushed i would like to tear deeper my self and paint it all.

Today, I install all my linkage on the front end. Except on the driver side I still have to install the linkage to the spendle. I stopped cause I have to get my upper ball joint replaced. When someone sold me a used one in a new box. (guys check the boxes) Anyway

well, today was a day all I did was install upper and lower ball joints on drivers side and install new springs on the same side.and repainted the orange linkage I like it a lot better.

I now have a rolling chassic with bad tires. Got to sand blast and paint the wheels and then buy new tires for my 6 lug wheels

Nice job on the chassis rebuild, the dirty work is done, now for the artistic part of the build. I noticed you decided to go with front Drum brakes any particular reason?

4 now I will used drum brakes. After I get it on the road and work out the bugs I am going to put disk on the front and rear.

Well, I did nothing on the truck Thursday. I just sat around. Today I cleaned some more parts. Drive shaft, e-brake, brake booster support and hood latches.

I also wire wheeled the drive shaft and front yoke.

Here is a picture of my adophed boys and my helpers. I am 63 and two boys at 6 and 7 what a deal. But, someone had to do it. They just fell into our laps.

I ordered te rest of my parts for the motor install. So tomorrow I will marry the motor to the transmission and install it.

Nice progress as usual.
You are really making some headway on the truck. Have you thought about finding a relacement grill considering yours is pretty torn up, it might be more work than its worth to fix it. |

about the grill I will replace it.a friend came by today and gave me a cor support and a grill. also any part I can use he has 4 trucks as parts 67,68,69,68

I found a pair of valve coves on a small block chevrolet with the letters MT who and what are they. The color is green and no it does not look like they were painted for they are alum.
