Thanks guys.
I'm pretty sure the hockey puck will work. well didnt get much done today. doesn't look that nice out i can feel winter coming. i just set the box on and finished up some lose ends. the brakes are all that is really left to work on. dropped about 4 and a half inches in the rear. ill have some better pics up when i have brakes but just to give you an idea. before after.

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
back to back post huh
no one likes the new drop look... i got a new rear brake hose and a new line today and bleed my brakes then pulled her out to cruise around the yard. the front is sitting at 30 1/2 and the rear is at 30 but it looks pretty level. I'm debating cutting another coil, if i do it will mess up the front end a lot. it doesn't look that bad how it is sitting now. well i have some more pictures i need a new camera. sketchy side view. well thats all for now i plan on finishing up the tail gate soon.

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
Looking good. I think you hit it spot on with the level look - I'm a fan of a bit of rake personally, but, to each their own.
Glad to hear you got the brake line taken care of. Now get some more Blitz slapped on that thing and have some fun with it! -ahem-. I mean, what else do you have left to do on it? Making more progress then I am as of late...haha. -Sam.

Paint. Bed floor. Tailgate. Exhaust system. that's about it.

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
Thanks
well its a 5" rear just put the coils in and a relocater trac bar and shocks and shock relocater the kit was 350 from ECE And all stock up front with One coil cut off the front. needs shocks up front. Yea it needs a bumper haha but i do have one. i just am to lazy to bolt it on because it is a pain to take if off and on. just in case i want to pull the fenders off or something. and the reflector also i am to lazy to put it on haha. mirrors how do they look? i have a set off mirrors in my glove box there round. I was thinking about putting them on. or taking the mirror off. but i am sick off not being able to see where my passenger side is with out a passenger side mirror.

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
The install
Was easy, putting parts back on is easier than taking them off. the disassemble of the rear end took some time. with everything rusty and in place for 40 years it makes it pretty hard to take it apart. and i painted it all so that took some time cleaning things up and painting. but it turned out great! the parts kit was from ECE and it runs like 349.99 plus shipping. http://www.earlyclassic.com/catalog....gory=Drop+Kits its on page two and its rear drop kits they make a 6" and a 5". i thought it was the cheapest way to lower my truck doing it half way right. i want to bag it one day

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
oh yes NO C notch
im not sure how far it is away from the frame but there is room. i haven't heard of people bottoming out with a 5" but a 6" is pushing it. if i want to haul things such as dirt bikes i think i may need the notch.

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
Just to further your point - yes, my truck is my daily driver. Has been for 2 years now. It's starting to get a little bit rough from the road salt and beating it through the fields and woods with farming duties, but, I'll take care of that in the spring.
...It's nothing I haven't done before. haha. And yeah, I painted mine about this time. Talk about beat the clock with the cold...you're almost there man. Just keep at 'er. Not too bad of a laundry list. What do you plan on doing for exhaust? -Sam.

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
salt i hear it kills trucks hah
i know it does. look at my blazer. i should paint today. its nice out. exhaust what i would really like is a muffler or glass pack with a pipe exiting out of the side of the box in front of the wheel.

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
It's a bit brisk, but overall a damn nice day, compared to the last two. haha.
You should check around for a set of headers for the 6. It may seem like overkill, but, then you'd have more free flowing exhaust, along with dual pipes. With the right mufflers, it sound great, in my opinion. Otherwise, running a simple exhaust doesn't take much work at all. It didn't for my 307 atleast. Let's see progress pics when you get 'em don, eh? -Sam.

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
i have thought about headers i cant seem to find a good pair.
i asked the board what they thought would be a good thing to do and most said just use the manifold or find a 292 split manifold. i could go to hill top and try to find a 292 manifold ill look into it. distance from the axle to the bump stop for old blue. today i broke my ujoint because i forgot to put the other u bolt on, luckily i had a extra one that came with my truck. so got that in place. and a better side view of the stance.

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
Damn the tires really fill the wheel well with the drop. I'm diggin' it.
a 292 manifold, if it's from a heavy duty application, should have a 2.5 inch outlet, which is pretty reasonable. I just checked ebay, and there isn't anything for headers. which is ridiculous and disappointing. lol If I wasn't going to use my L6 headers, I'd definitely bring 'em on down to Wausau for you to slap on your truck. But, with a L6 going into my Chevy II...well, I need 'em. -Sam.

Re: Project' 69 c10 aka sin.
I'm not sure about the ATV
but we have a foreman and i could put it in there and see when i get the box done, of course. speaking of the box i got some of the frame built for the bed floor where using box tube for it and im not sure what where gonna lay on it for the bed floor. also i have been working on the tailgate welding up holes and patching rust. thanks Sam i like how its sitting to as for headers i haven't looked into it but i will.
