Re: Ok Boys and Girls it's Storytime
If you ever get a chance to come back to Montgomery the track will be better. We have much better management now. I hate I didn't know you came here I would have been there.

Re: Ok Boys and Girls it's Storytime
Racing in Tx sucked . My Ol'Lady was gonna flash my buddy that I had to run second round (she really wouldnt do that) to throw him off , instead my Crew Chief / Bestfriend a 240lb boy flashed him . The poor guy was .071 on the tree against my .008 and my fuel press. regulator gave up and I lost the round .

Re: Ok Boys and Girls it's Storytime
Well 2006 wasnt a good year either . I ran 5 races and ended up around 24th place (partley for personal reasons that I didn't get to race). Alot of the problem was the truck just did'nt work in the heat . If you havnt ever tried to race like this you wont understand but its like racing at a different track every time you stage .

Re: Ok Boys and Girls it's Storytime
After the 06 season I decided I needed to do something . I ordered a new Brodix aluminium block . I took the crank out of the 638 and got some new rods and pistons and built an all aluminium 632 . Also that year I sold my old trailer and bought my old friend Randy Ramo's 48 ft trailer . Guess what ? the first race with that trailer came my first NHRA divisional win ! That was September of 07 , almost 8 years after I started doing this Divisional stuff . I finally got me a Wally .......

Re: Ok Boys and Girls it's Storytime
I always said I would win one then I would sticker the truck ! Those stickers are worth some money . I got a grand at the racetrack (Red River) and a hundred from Brodix (for the windshield). Coulda been about 3500 total...

Re: Ok Boys and Girls it's Storytime
Anyhow back to the 07 season . That win in Shreveport put me up in the Jegs Allstar points. The Jegs Allstars is a points series that counts every division race (hence no throw aways like the division best 5 out of 8 stuff) but it runs from around may till the next year at the same time . I won the division 4 Allstar points series in Super Street for the 08 season . That meant I got the chance to go to Joliet Illinios to Route 66 Raceway to race the other six Allstars for the Jegs Allstar Crown . This is the closest thing a Super Street racer has to a national championship since we dont run for national points.

Re: Ok Boys and Girls it's Storytime
Well we drug the old truck 930 miles to Joliet (Chicago) . I ran the Allstar race and gave it up by .006 in the first round to Jeff Landoulm from Div 5 , that was the only points D5 got that year ......At my expense...ugghh. But the weekend turned out pretty damn good ....
I left Chicago with a Big Wally .....You know like the ones that they give ole John Force . I got on a stage and gave a little speech and the whole nine yards . It was absolutly the greatest moment of my racing life , if not my life ! I had the woman I loved , my duaghter , and my best friend (you know the flasher) with me . I wouldnt traded the moment for the 4 houses I could have bought with the money I have sank in the truck in the last 31 years !
