Thanks for the pics, and yes you should have bought it.

Decided to guide coat one more time instead of wasting filler. Several areas blocked out. I went to wipe a few areas and didn't mix it hot enough due to it being cooler tonight.

It should dry , but I didn't want to wait for it too so I called it a night. I also worked .5 hours today at work grinding and working dents out of one of the inner bed panels (no charge).

14+1.5=15.5
.5 no charge Not in total

I'm chalking it up to a leason learned the hard way.

I'm glad to see your truck and this site got ya work Alan. You deserve it from what I know of ya. When you think about it as far as the truck goes your dirty underwear is out there for all to look at.
Hell, If you referred prospective clients to the site it's the best or worst reference one could have, it don't lie.
In your case it's the best.

Mine dried, I checked it before I went to work this morning. Have you tried a razor blade to see if it will come off easy?

Two days in the sun and it's sandable.

I was worried I did'nt want to start over or have to scrap it all off. I did try the blade just long enough to learn that it would suck to have to scrap it all off.

Had a couple areas to wipe again

Weapons of destruction.

Ready for some slick sand.

Started working on the RT fender

Clamped old piece to new piece to know where to cut. This is as far as I got tonight.

Tonight spent 2.5 on bedside fender and .5 on RT front fender.
15.5+3=18.5

It sanded good still needs some work on the top part. Spending most of my time working on my bedsides what a mess. They drilled holes to do bodywork? They never pulled the metal out far enough if at all and they never welded the hole back up. So all around the holes its rusted. Makes it a pain to weld shut. Question for ya. Why do you weld the seems shut on the bed/hood. It seems like you could just use seam sealer? I welded the end of my bedsides but not the seams down the sides becauses I was'nt sure how to grind the welds down.

I'm welding my seams for a cleaner look and also to keep rust from forming where the 2 pieces come together. Seam sealer might could be used, but I wouldn't just my preferrence. I used a grinding stone (wheel) on a die grinder to clean up the welds. I think I have a pic of the grinding stone somewhere in my build. I think it is a 3M 1991 grinding wheel.

First I have a question. The bed parts that come from Mar-K are galvanized if I'm not mistaken. What do ya'll use to prep it for primer?

Summer cold came back with a vengence today. I had to keep a drip pan under my nose all day. Got home and got some DP90 on the inner bed panels. It kept getting surface rust where they were handled. I removed the rust prints prior to painting. The pic is before I did that. DP90 will show all of the dents which is helpful when it is time to repair. I've got to mock the bed up and weld in the angles to the inner panels.

Got slick sand on the fender also.
