Is there any damage to the steering wheel i.e. nicks front or back? Looked like I could see something at the 12 o'clock position in the original pictures. Any areas where the grain is worn smooth?

I believe that is a reflection, I will look again tonight and take more pictures. This wheel has absolutely no wear at all. It does however have a couple of slight scratches on the rim that are barely noticable. I would rate this wheel a 9.9 out of 10. Remember these are NOS parts and they were never perfect.

What's the casting # on the back of the wheel? Should be 9749753 by the look of the grain (less likely 335212). Would you consider $550 shipped without the horn button?

No chrome on the bars, I believe the chrome goes over these on the top. See picture of assembly attached. This basically the front window run channel and weatherstrip

Horrible packing

Chrome Handles where loose out of boxes bouncing around
Big box up against vent window dividers.

No padding no paper nothing.
