Re: The Old Duffer
I just stumbled across your build thread a couple of days ago and bookmarked it to read later. I did peek at some of the pictures first, though. Then today, I sat down to read my new Truckin' magazine and came across a truck that I thought looked familiar. Came back here to see, and sure enough, it's your truck! Congrats!
Now I have to go back and do some reading

Re: The Old Duffer
First real road trip since the rebuild is friday. Another board member Boucher Racing & I are headed to Bowling Green KY on friday for the National Hot Rod Reunion. Im stoked but still nervous. The way my luck has been lately who knows what could happen. I'm gonna cross my fingers, look for a rabbits foot & say a few prayers that all goes off without a hitch.

Re: The Old Duffer
Found a cool vintage 7up cooler when I went to the national hot rod reunion in KY last week then found one to match on ebay. decided I'd mount them in the bed next to my keg fuel tank. Bolted em down siliconed the bolt holes & put bathroom sink drains with the rubber plug to drain after use. Think it turned out neat. they're great storage for everyday driving & also perfect for loading up cold beers in.

Re: The Old Duffer
The Old Duffer made his first real road trip on the new motor & I gotta say its runnin like a scalded dog! Very pleased & relieved. The National hot rod reunion in Bowling Green KY is an awesome show but needs some more 60's C10 action. Maybe next year some of y'all other fellas will join Boucher racing & I & help us represent.

Thanks man. Being a long bed I got plenty of room for some junk in the trunk.

Re: The Old Duffer
Well I've been contemplating converting my LWB to a SWB for a loooong time. Found this short box today for a price I couldn't pass up. So looks like the decision has been made. Should be a good winter project.

Re: The Old Duffer
SWB was the only way you could have made this truck any cooler than it already is! When does winter officially start in TN? Looking forward to seeing that swap finished. Also like the 7up coolers. I thought I had an old pepsi one lined up to to throw in the back of my truck, but the guy backed out of the trade.

Re: The Old Duffer
Well I've been feeling some trepidation about cutting my frame & going all the way out with the shortbox conversion so my boy & fellow board member Boucher Racing did a quick Photochop of my rig Bagged and short boxed. What do yall think.
Long or short? |
