Re: My 50 roadster pickup build
Thanks. Got the arms from Old Dog Street Rods, they have several different sizes and shapes. Love the paint job on your ride, when are you going to drop it

Re: My 50 roadster pickup build
Thanks, I appreciate the kind words. I had never done anything like this before, just said give it a try and it came out OK. Now I'm not saying I would try brain surgery, but don't cut yourself short, we all have talents. More pics to come. Jim

Jim your posts are like a good book, I find myself wanting to look at the end and see how it all turns out, but I don't want to miss all the good stuff that leads up to the end. Don

Re: My 50 roadster pickup build
Thank you so much for the excellent ideas from your build. I love some of the little custom touches you did. I also love it that this truck isnt a trailer queen, so stop being so modest, that truck rocks and I hope my truck turns out half as nice. I work on my truck every night and then before I go to bed I get on the computer to see what you have posted next, can't go to sleep till I see what you have posted so that I can come up with mods to mine based on what you have done. think I'll do like you have done and post my build after I finish it.

Re: My 50 roadster pickup build
OK on with todays post.
Inside of dash painted. The dash was painted to match the Ultra-leather in the interior. Paint shop mixed paint, then I had them add 50% flattening agent to the paint. In makes it real thin, just add hardner and spray. Put on about 4 or 5 light coats. Easy to keep clean.

Re: My 50 roadster pickup build
What did you use to build the interior out of? Looks like wood?

Re: My 50 roadster pickup build
Yes it is wood, called lauan, I always use birch but it comes in different types. It is about 1/8" thick. A lot of upholstery shops use it instead of door board.

Re: My 50 roadster pickup build
Here I was using some thin metal to make up a templet for my splash cover.
