We snuggle Polar bears to keep warm in the "real cold" areas.

Yes this was a snow storm that dumped more snow than usual for our area. This is more common 60 miles north in Flagstaff AZ or your neck of the woods in Minnysnowda.

Comfy for who? Not these trucks or this Arizona native it is way too cold for my blood. Four straight days of 19 degrees in the mornings is enough for me. I don't know how people that live in the real cold country can handle this all winter long.
I'm in medical sales and I'm there at the hospital almost every Monday and sometimes on Tuesday. Next time I'm there on an over nighter I'll give you a shout, love to come and see your fleet.

No Polar Bears here in Arizona, I guess the significant other and more blankets will have to do.

Arizonies have adapted to the heat like reptiles when it gets cold we move around in slow motion. It is strange how age makes you change your thoughts. I was the same way when I was young. I bought a brand new 1987 Chevy Short Bed 4x4 and did not even think about a Crew Cab, it did not look right to me either. Now Crew Cab trucks are the only trucks I want.

Re: Picked Up A Hitch Hiker Today

Check out what I found while searching EBay. It is a rendering of a 1966 Crew Cab truck on a tee shirt that resembles my 66 Crew. Has any one on this forum bought any tee shirts from this vendor? I'm not real sure about purchasing something outside the good old USA.

Good eye Jon! I didn't notice the change in the placement of the emblem.

Me too! I have waited a log time to find 4x4s in this part of the world. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to load two trucks with flat tires with each having one frozen rear brake on the side of a mountain in the dark while in a hard rain. Crazy

Awesome! A double hitch hiker score, and 4x4's to boot. You don't see that everyday. Theses must have been bought to used on a farm or ranch?

Re: Picked Up A Hitch Hiker Today

I just explained to my brother if I had a crew cab I would have too many kids, That truck is sexy! I wouldn't be able to control my lust and keep my hands off my wife with that beautiful beast around.

Re: Picked Up A Hitch Hiker Today

My curiosity got the best of me and I went ahead and had some shirts made from an EBay vendor from Brazil. They had a 100% positive feedback and will customize them to your liking. I made about 6 changes before I was satisfied and they accommodated my changes with out any hassle.

Re: Picked Up A Hitch Hiker Today

I wonder if your short-long bed had been pulled off and stored inside for a while, and the crew-cab toted a flat bed or utility bed? It is way less faded than the cab and front end.

Why did you take off the cantilever leaf overload springs ??? I had those on my 1965 C-10 and they worked great, much to my amazement. Nice ride empty and then it steadied out when you put some load on it. That short bed with coil springs and four speed manual would go almost anywhere with just 2wd.

The bed was never taken off and always on. The picture you are referring to was a quick wash of the bed after I bought the truck. The original faded paint is pretty even on the entire truck. I still have other sets of overload springs that I can put back on if needed.
