Re: Project 1966 C-10 LSx
Wow!
Nice work on the dash plate! Could ya send me the solidworks file for that? I bet I could put a little spin spin on that if I cut it in one of our 5-axis mills! Nice job!

Re: Project 1966 C-10 LSx
"New" core support and battery tray from Key Parts (purchased from top banana)
The core support fitment was OK..... battery tray was mediocre @ best. Now to start wiring.... only to take the front back off to drop back in the 5.3L Vortec.

The project looks great! Giving me a lot of ideas and this should help a lot with the ls swap I'll be doing.

Re: Project 1966 C-10 LSx
Still trucking along on the wiring..... front headlight harness complete along with alot of the interior.... working my way back... Engine harness is completely mounted and all plugged in and tucked away. New MAF/CAI setup too...
Temporarily fabricated patch panels and sealed the rusted interior floor/rocker for this summer's shake down... this will be removed when body work and complete tear down occurs (this or next upcoming winter)

Re: Project 1966 C-10 LSx
Plug and play dash complete.... all lighting, senders, etc all go into a breadboard type (wago blocks). 4 Main weatherpak connections and it all comes right out as one unit.
(speedo, tach signal w/ 1000k ohm resister etc all build right into wago block)[will be cleaned up and tied better before install] Had a few questions on alternator clearance on intake... plenty-o-room. (mounting bracket to me fabricated to mount on inner fenderwell.

I remember you Diesel truck thread from the HAMB. Nice to see such a high level of thought and execution being carried over to your C10.
