Re: Tommys66 Build
Thanks. I got the idea from 68shortstep. On yours, could you not series the water thru it from your heater core lines?

Re: Tommys66 Build
i thought about that but if I use the heater box from the 08 sub it has a water shut off for the heater so it would slow the flow for the cooler

Re: Tommys66 Build
welded a few patches in the dash. I am going to put an a/c vent where the ash tray was, and a different a/c control panel where the origional was. Any ideas for the vent? not sure what i want.

Re: Tommys66 Build
Good Idea, only if I had a complete donor truck.

Re: Tommys66 Build
I do take advantage of that.. I had to find away to get the vents in and use the dash data switch.. so i went with that.

Re: Tommys66 Build
I seen some cracks in the paint on the roof skin, so I investigated with a grinder and this is what I found!

Re: Tommys66 Build
I had a good roof skin on my parts truck, so I clipped the cab to get the top down to a good working level. I sandblasted the roofskin and primed, then I removed It from the old cab section. I measured 1 1/2" all the way around on my good cab and cut the skin off of it. The donor roof skin fit down on the good cab really well. Looked like a couple of mouse condos in the void between the inner and outer skins! I will use 3M metal bond to glue the skin on.

Sweet. At first I thought you were insulating your roof with mouse nests. Nice work.

Re: Tommys66 Build
took a couple days, but wasnt too bad. I replaced it cause I didnt want this area comming back to haunt me. Being that its the roof it catches all the weather.

Re: Tommys66 Build
thanks, and good luck. I don't have all the answers for the swap, but if you get in a bind don't be afraid to ask.
