Re: 52 Suburban project thread
Does look like a keyboard impediment doesn't it. I'll get it figured out (I hope). More about cost than purchase price. I'm still spending on the engine but thanks for the heads up.

Re: 52 Suburban project thread
I have a feeling chrislehr wants an update from tygaboy. Mine is the machinist didn't follow instructions and sent home a block with a crack I didn't find until final assembly. I now have a very expensive and impressive paper weight. It's very hard to find a good "67 292 L6 bare block!

Re: 52 Suburban project thread
Shop is built! My wife and I have always loved the look of a red barn... It's 36 x 30 is all but that should work fine for my needs.
A buddy has a nice mill, lathe and other goodies but no space so we're installing it all here. I'll have what works out to be a pretty complete machine shop, welding and composite fabrication set up. The Suburban chassis is almost done so I'll be bringing it home soon. But I recently picked up a '51 Chevy pick up that is going to get some serious mods -note the spare roof in the 2nd pic. Just wait 'til you see what that gets used for... I think this project it's going to be the priority. I'll post the build as I get started. Last edited by tygaboy; 11-20-2008 at 02:26 PM. |

Re: 52 Suburban project thread
Oh! also watched your "lap of shame" video.. No shame there... some people sit on the sidelines and some people are IN the game.
