Re: Dealer Emblems and Stickers
Key Chain from Hank Graff Chevrolet, Davison Michigan (where I got my truck).
My Chevelle came from the same dealership but at that time it belonged to Robert Uptegraff. When Graffs bought it they left the signs up and just put a red line through the "Upte" portion. K

Re: Dealer Emblems and Stickers
This thread got me curious, so I called up the dealership that took over the place that the previous owner bought my truck at in 1980. They were awesome enough to send me a digital copy of the old dealership’s decal they put on the trucks they sold. They even had a 70 c10 they had originally sold in the service department the day I called, so the manager sent me some pics of that one, too, as a reference. I took a little paint thinner and tried to patina the sticker a little to match the rest of the truck.

Here's a picture of the one on my truck that I purchased in CA. It may be a used car lot, not sure. Anyone have an idea?

Re: Dealer Emblems and Stickers
Reminded me I have an "NOS" decal from Bickerstaff Chevrolet that had a similar look to your emblem. This decal was from the late 70s I think.

Re: Dealer Emblems and Stickers
If memory serves the Wehrs family started out in 1935 selling Allis-Chalmers farm equipment as well as Chevrolet vehicles. I don't recall when they quit A-C, but I bought this truck from them in 2011 and within 5 years or so they had given up the Chevrolet franchise.
I know some folks don't like giving a dealer free advertising. It never bothered me. As I've gotten older and a lot of things I thought were permanent have disappeared, preserving that little bit of history you get with a dealer sticker has some value. It also serves as an indicator of how many owners a vehicle may have had. |

These cheezy chrome dealer emblems are nicer than any trim put on the most expensive cars today

I spied this one on a original 67 short bed at the local lumber store here in Portland Oregon.
