You should use Carc paint then to paint it. Give it that rough texture like our army trucks.

Great Build!!! Great looking boy, congratulations. German fabricators/Machinst's are considered some of the best in the world...Way to keep up a great tradition, And good choice on the project! Looking forward to seeing run.

great thread pat been reading this and the drama is building i will be waiting for the finished truck i can tell you are a very determined and skilled builder,keep up the good work,i didn't know the love for these old trucks extended all over the world like it does.but the one thing i was curios about is what do you do for living when you aren't working on your trucks this is very expensive here in the states so i'm sure it is over there to.i was stationed over there in 1970 at bitburg A.F.B.and i thought it was expensive over there.congrates to you on your fine looking son too.

first of all , i saw your truck thread , very clean and nice Color!!!

the distance to Bitburg from my Home Town are 118miles not so far but I was born 1974!!
i have a little business in PDR ( Paintless Dent Removal) , IŽm my own BOSS!!!
YouŽre right it is very expensive to built those America Cars here in Germany , but GuyŽs whoŽs drive a Old Chevy Truck theyŽre COOL!!!
Did you see my 63ŽLwb ? i spend over 4-5 years and more then 56k $ in it!!
But it is Hobby !!!!
I hope my Son will like Chevy Trucks too!!!!!

well , i think that the next step is to mount the Body on the Frame but iŽm waiting for the Body Mount Bushings , hopfully they arrive Friday!
than sandblasting the Frame and paint it!!!

it was a boring day at work so i go to my Garage and take the Dropmember and made it Green!!!!!

here we go.............

thanks alot for the flashback pat .. it's been 39 years since i've seen that tower.i'll bet that place has really grown since 1970.i went to hahn A.F.B. too,for about 30 day's.i can't honestly say that i remember it though.keep us informed on your progress.you will have the only one like it in the world probably.

where did you get that nice cluster dash and bezel from??
i gave up on trying to rework mine years ago....right now,,the only thing i have in that space is water temp,, oil pressure,, and fuel.. guess if i don't get pulled over,, i ain't going too fast...

Pat; I noticed that you got the pickup cab body mounting kit. the rear cab mounting insulators are different on a panel than they are on a pickup . There is one of the parts dealers that did stock all of the rear insulators. if you want the info I can dig it up. I was fortunate to come across a batch of like new ones for mine

Update time , after 3month Babysitting , iŽll back on built of my Panel!!!!!

First , build some Mounts for the Body to Frame , painted the Frame , and assembled the Chassis !
