Here goes some pics. I still need to install the TA cross-member and dimple the frame for the PS box.

The PO had the hitch welded to the cross-member, so I had to clean that up while I was laying around

I still need to drill the large oblong hole for the airbag fittings.

Yeah this was not part of my original plan but Porterbuilt got the best of me

It's been awhile since I clicked on your build thread. The PB stuff was a nice addition. Btw got that other cap today and it looks great, for my junk anyway.

Hey Doug, I'm glad you liked that cap, it was an nos cap

I haven't made up my mind on the front suspension. I'm gonna go with the Porterbuilt A-arms that push the wheel base forward but I can't decide on coil springs or air bags. I really don't want to deal with an air management system at the moment but I could just run schrader valves

Geoff, there's not much to look at other than the frame

The bed is being stored in Evan City and the cab is up north in Crawford county. Heck I haven't even seen my bed in over a year

It has 2 foot high weeds that grew around it

I've been busy on the weekends. The weather was lousy for a couple of weeks so I couldn't work on it. Now I'm back to night school twice a week

I may just POR 15 the frame cause I can get a good deal on it. I have to fabricate lower shock mounts and drill holes in the frame for the air lines.

Hey, just read through. Gonna be a nice truck when you get it all done. My wife bought me my truck as a wedding gift! I'm also getting read to build a house next year so I'll be in your shoes. Keep going though!

Yeah I use to put a dead line on when the truck should be done by but they always come and go

I think a lot of us guys here have to many irons in the fire

I just can't wait to get my truck drivable again

Well I started on my rear lower shock mounts. I cut two 12" pieces of 2"x4"x.188" tubing to start with. I drilled a series of holes but now I have to cut a 3" hole in them so they fit the axle tubes

I bought 2" dropped springs for the front, stainless brake and fuel lines and also stainless E-brake cables setup

Love the stainless stuff. Going on mine when I redo. But yeah I'm definately enjoying driving mine around on weekends even though it's not where I want it!

I got a little work done the last few days

I dimpled the front for the power steering box, finished my lower rear shock mounts and disassembled more of the frame. I still need to drill a few more holes for the Porterbuilt stuff

I've decide to go with powder coat

I talked to a place today and it seems like a decent price and this guy was recommended by a friend. I still have a few more holes to drill in the frame
