Re: How about some pics of lowered long beds
My son's 71, 4"/6" drop with 225/70/15 on stock 6" wide steel wheels. Factory 402/TH400/A/C truck, complete engine and trans is sold to a fellow board memeber so the 5.3/4L80E swap begins this weekend.

Re: How about some pics of lowered long beds
I figured I would post my new wheels in this thread to bring it back to life. I went with the Vintec's 17x8 offset is 4.5". I wanted 18's, but I couldn't pass these up for the price!

Re: How about some pics of lowered long beds
That looks awesome!! Any idea if your 1970 has the wide rear end or the narrow one? I have a 1971 and am trying to figure out backspacing...

Re: How about some pics of lowered long beds
Hey, I have the narrow rear end. I put 1 1/4" billet spacers on. They have been on for a couple thousand miles, no problems. I like how the offset still has the wheels tucked a little bit.

Re: How about some pics of lowered long beds
Hello from New Zealand! Here is my 71 c10, its a 250 6 cyl with a 3 speed manual box so pretty basic. I use it daily for my work truck.
Its pretty slammed on 15x11 and 15x12 widened later model steels. I want to go lower of course, but will wait till I stop using it for work. Some pretty cool trucks in this thread! |

Re: How about some pics of lowered long beds
Welcome aboard Macabre. It's good to see the 71 still working and towing with a 6 cylinder. I like the deep steelies on it too.
That's an unusual looking van on the trailer.
