they are double adjustable QA1, yes the upper shock mount brackets came with the kit.

killer it'll be painted..



got some motor mount ls1 adaptor plates, so i was able to mock-up the mock-up engine... and with this truck i set the motor 1" further back for 2 reasons 1) is cause these control arms are beefier then stock, and i fear the headers will interfer with them on the dr. side. and 2) cause we're gonna run a f-body oil pan for ground clearance....also got the center x-member drilled out and the trailing arms out, cause all this is gonna get replaced with new ECE stuff.. here are the pics

If you use these headers, I don't think you'll have a problem with clearance, .

I wasn't trying to brag , I'm just excited that after 2 years of inquiries, we, (LS1 modders, ), finally have an awesome looking set of headers to complete are LS builds. BTW, did 71HULK finally pick up a motor worthy of the rest of the truck?

alright, got most all the suspension mocked-up...the rear also has the hidden receiver hitch set-up....fully dumped the lience plate 'box' is about 4.5" from the ground.....looks pretty cool IMO... with it being that low the relocation bracket from the ECE panhard bar kit wont work... it locates the panhard bar almost touching the bottom of the frame (second to last pic).. so im gonna make a bracket to locate it to the actual trailing arm, lowering the attaching point to a better position for a truck being lowered this much (last pic).....

Lookin' good! A set of 1.5" or 2" lowering blocks would fix your panhard interference problem and allow for more air in the bags at ride height. This will give a better ride and help have your bags at the correct installed height- this will be especially true if you are running drop spindles up front.

How did you get that compressor to fit so nicely?

where would i get a set of 1.5 blocks w/ loner U bolts? the truck was set-up for a 7" (bag) ride height....
you talkin bout the A/C compressor or the air system compressors?

Agree with GringoLoco. Thats what I did to mine. I got the blocks and ubolts from CPP. This is the best pics I have of the setup.

CPP for the blocks w/ bolts. I think the kit is $60-70.

You have a little leeway in how tall the bag can be, but not much. Most (2600lb)bags are designed to be installed at ride height at 6" tall. You can waiver either way by a 1/2" or so, but outside of that they will not ride as well. You can use the blocks to keep the bags at 6" installed, but ride 2" lower than you would without them. Think of the bag as a non-adjustable coil spring when at ride height. The pressure will vary based on load, but the overall height should be 6". Clear as mud?

I was asking about the A/C compressor. It seems to fit very well. Is it smaller than the usual truck compressor?

the a/c compressor and mounting bracket are for a truck/suv....dunno why you have any problems with mounting it there... ive done a couple of these swaps and they all tuck right there in the frame rail nicely...

getting some more work done....got the trans cooler installed, drilled and located the trans x-member, mounted the rear hight sesnors, and a little more cab body work.... the lwr part of the dr. side cowl was roted out, so it was cut out and a new peice made......
also the truck oil pan was traded out for a f-body pan....now the pan is bout 1.5 inches above the front x-member, just how we wanted it...

and now for the heart of the beast......
this is a 6.2L with a 6L80E trans... for those who arnt familur with these GEN4 engines, this is a big bad mamajama, it has 403 HP and 418torque stock with varitable valve timeing (VVT)... the 6L80E trans is a automatic 6 speed with 2 overdrives.... but this isnt gonna be a stock engine when we're done with it, so more HP will be gained
here is some pics of the engine and trans....also included is the 6l80e compaired to a 4l60e trans...

6.2 out of a denali.....mods, cant be spilled yet, but you'll see....the DOD, so to speak, is what they call variable valve technoligy (VVT) what this does is adjust the cam by advancing/retarding it while driveing...it does this on both the intake and exhaust...this, in effect, will give the engine good MPG, torque, and awsome driveability.
(in words of shaun @ mastmotorsports)
The VVT phases the cam across the RPM range to effectively improve the volumetric efficiency of the engine. Think of it as adjusting the installed centerline of the cam for optimum performance while the engine is operating. It allows the engine to produce better torque for a given RPM that would not normally be possible in a fixed cam application
