Re: 1967 C10 Urban Retro
Well, finally got those rear coils prings out. 40 years!!! Couldn't salvage the Coil Spring retainer cup. Pretty rusted anyway. I'll get new ones with new hardawre. I have a 2inch drop spring for the front and some 4 inch drops in the back. Can I go with a 3 inch and a 5 inch coil spring without having to, C-Notching the frame?

Re: 1967 C10 Urban Retro
Yes, you're fine without a notch with a 3/5 drop. Just make sure to get the right shocks and shock relocators and an adjustable trac bar if you're going that low in the rear

Re: 1967 C10 Urban Retro
How about the clearance for 22's on that drop with a 35 series tire?

Re: 1967 C10 Urban Retro
Nice looking truck. You have some questions about drop. Do a search for Blank Slate. Nates 69 looks real fine. He has a lot of good information on his build thread!

Re: 1967 C10 Urban Retro
Great looking truck, as far as the 22's fitting with the 3/5 drop, it'll be entirely dependent on how wide the rim/tire is. If you don't go with real wide drag style tires you should be good.
I had problems with my coils too, I had the retainer break off the frame and damage my truck in fact. |

Re: 1967 C10 Urban Retro
Hey Rick, I'm not a brake guy, so I have no idea about what an Eldorado brake even looks like. I bought them from POL. Here is the desciption of the brakes and a picture of the bracket. The bracket is cool because you don't have to take the axel off to install them.

Re: 1967 C10 Urban Retro
Finally got my Red Oak Wood back and finally got some time to test fit it before staining. Made my marks for my holes that I'm going to have to drill. Not allthese aftermarket part hole are lining up. Going to have to drill some, on the front bed panels and the rear cross sills. The four coner boards are a pain. Also have my marks for my gas tank filler. hope fully I will have it complete by next week and installed.
