Re: The Big Boys:Let's See Those K/20s & K2500s

And one last post... this red '72 was my favorite. I got it from the original owner, it had 69k original miles on it. The original seat was perfect, and that's original paint with a few minor touch-ups. Auto trans, factory A/C, cab lights. It had the fat 16.5s on it when I bought it, and a couple pictures show it with the 8-lug "rally" wheels from my daily-driver Dodge (I'm a tall 'n skinny kind of guy... err... when it comes to tires anyways - I probably don't qualify as skinny ). The guy I sold this truck to currently has it for sale on Craigslist and also tried on Ebay a month or so back.

The green '71 was yet another project I never did anything with.

I've seen the copper and white GMC on here in the past, somebody saved the picture from my Ebay auction when I sold it. The orange project truck had a Cummins, NV5600, NP205, Dana 60/70 - I never finished it, and parted it out.
All very nice! What is the tire size on the blue Chevy in the 4th pic?

Those are 34x9 Swampers on 16" rims (bias ply noise-makers, but I'm a sucker for tall 'n skinny tires). They really worked well, and I guess because they were so skinny they didn't exhibit too many bias ply qualities (didn't grab ruts, etc)

Re: The Big Boys:Let's See Those K/20s & K2500s

You've had some nice trucks. What's it like not having one after all those? It must be hard when you see one drive by. I remember your Cummins project and hoped to see it done.

Here's a good ole boy:

Pretty two-tone green:

Wasn't it in VT? I know VT Blazer showed it here when the guy stopped by his place. It was sold and outfitted originally in Europe, right?

Here is one that belongs to a board member that I saved, just because I love the color and that it's a K20.

Edit - nevermind, found the truck on Ebay, over $15k

Got some of the same old pics of mine, 1 ton, my boys truck 3/4 is finished and now we got two!!!
Seems like there are not too many short stepsides here, I guess because they don't come in more than 1/2 ton. I cheeted on the stepside with 14 bolt, dana 60 and a shortened 1 ton frame. 454
