Seriously, how bad is the camber change throughout the travel, any chance you looked into upper j-arms Dino?

rob upper j-arms? the suspension still has to adjusted,after kevins it all comes apart to be powder coated.then i will have it all set .allignment rack in my back yard hmmmm i might have to work on getting one

the wheels are some el cheapo deluxe from discount tire nate bought a bunch of sets and i got two sets they are cool looking but i think they were close outs

It might be way more then you want to do , but on some of the desert long travel trucks, they use a j-arm instead of an a-arm. It allows for equal length upper and lower arms, so you dont get alot of camber change throughout the travel.

i know the fords use j arms, this truck will be set up for fun ,that j arm stuff is for big fun kevin at grunions has i real cool true long travel truck,and he is going to set up the rest of the suspension for me

wow, looks like you're moving right along on this project. i really like those dimple punched trailing arms. would be sweet to get a set of those for a 67-72 truck.

just a few more updates, i had kevin make me my own fresh air intake,it will have a huge k&n air cleaner and were the park lights are there will be screens to let fresh are in,

was up at kevins saturday, and have some up dates, brakes plumbed booster in , all the suspension is welded,front and rear bumpers done,air intake done, before it comes home cab mounts replaced, battery box and the bed braces done,

Your gonna need a V8. A six with those tires even with a 4.11 rear end is gonna be straining. Nice ideas on the suspension though. It will be totally unique for sure.

justcuz , even with my trick fresh air intakeI have a bigger bullet for this truck,but i just wanted to try something different the 292 in the truck is a new crate motor(doesn't look like it) and runs good , the suspension will also except the 350 i have so just a weekend change out

Those little sixes moved around some BIG trucks back in the day, of course there were alot more gears involved,and they didn't do it very fast.
