Re: 69 stepside, project keep the wife happy
Finally got the bed wood in.....the wood kicked my butt, had to do it twice since the second coat of clear wrinkled on the first attempt.painting steel is easy....wood has a mind of its own! Also raised the bed floor two inches and that turned out awesome.Going to have an aluminum or stainless cap fabbed up for the back by the tailgate and this part is done...still need to paint fenders and steps, that should be done in the next couple of weeks.
Sorry for the lousy pics, only had my phone... also picked up a nice part for a future project! I want to build a gasser 55 2 door sedan, 1 piece at a time : ) |

Re: 69 stepside, project keep the wife happy
Roll pan installed.also starting to get the loose ends finished up,wipers are working, heater motor working,etc...just some small stuff left(mirrors, dome lamp, exh.finished, fuel guage fixed, etc)then im going to start racking up a few miles on it.
I know a lot of you guys have been working on your stuff longer but 2-1/2 years seemed like 5. The 67 burb is next, have some cool stuff planned for it..then on to the 68 swb...i guess my next 5 years are spoken for! |
